Senior DevOps Engineer (East Cost of the USA)
CommIT
The company is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will help optimize our infrastructure, improve deployment and delivery processes, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our services. Responsibilities - Build, operate, and continuously improve production infrastructure and deployment pipelines - Manage and scale Kubernetes environments and associated cloud services - Improve platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices - Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code tools - Partner with engineering teams to streamline build/release processes and optimize developer experience - Implement and promote security best practices across infrastructure and CI/CD workflows - Troubleshoot complex system issues across cloud, networking, and container orchestration layers Requirements - f5+ years of experience in a DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering role - Strong knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform - Deep hands-on Kubernetes expertise, including managed platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE) and internals - Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Coralogix, Logz.io - Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, containers/CRI) and Kubernetes tooling (kubeadm, Minikube) - Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, Terragrunt - Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages - Solid understanding of security concepts, principles, and best practices - Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills
