Role Description We are seeking an IT & Security Manager to join our Business Operations team. This person will own our core business infrastructure and cybersecurity program, and serve as a technical resource for our industry-specific software (e.g eMoney, Practifi, Orion). - Ownership of business infrastructure - Maintain full strategic and operational ownership of the firm’s business infrastructure - Lead large scale IT projects, including migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 - Architect and deploy efficiency and security features - Evaluate how AI should integrate into existing workflows - Develop technical training to strengthen the technical proficiency of our team - Technical Resource for industry-specific software - Support Wealth Advisors and client service teams with IT solutions - Stay current on wealth management technology trends - Ownership of cybersecurity program and policies - Collaborate closely with our MSP to manage and enhance our security program - Act as the primary liaison for our MSP - Administer and manage user access, renewals, licenses, and invoices for all IT software - Serve as the "Tier 1" internal help desk for employees - Manage the technical setup for new hires and secure offboarding for departing employees Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree - 5+ years of experience in IT Management, Systems Administration, or a senior support role - Experience in Financial Services or Wealth Management required - Experience administering a Microsoft 365 environment including Microsoft Intune and Azure - Demonstrated ability to independently manage IT projects - Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices for remote workforces - Previous experience managing external IT vendors or working within an MSP environment - Demonstrated interest or experience in building and maintaining a cloud data environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Airtight reliability - Fun to work with and enjoyable to be around Requirements - Location: Anywhere within the continental U.S. - Compensation: The annual base salary range for this role is $135,000 to $160,000 - This is a full-time W-2 position Benefits - Flexible work schedule - Health insurance with Geometric paying for at least 2/3 of the premiums - 401(k) including 5% company match with immediate vesting - Paid parental leave after welcoming biological or adopted children - Professional development sponsorship - Portfolio management at no charge - Geometric will supply work-related technology and a stipend for home office needs - Wellness Wednesdays - Fully-paid, five-week sabbaticals after seven years with the firm Culture - Excellence: Service-oriented and putting clients’ interests first - Overcommunication: Valuing open, honest, and thoughtful communication - Continuous Improvement: Embracing the journey of getting better - Support and Balance: Working with positive, supportive, and kind individuals - Diverse Perspectives: Striving for an inclusive environment Typical Interview/Evaluation Process - First-round interview with Geometric’s Chief Operating Officer - Second-round interview with existing Business Operations team members - Simulation exercise to assess job performance - Final-round interview with Geometric’s Founder & CEO Application Method Along with your resume, please include a cover letter that explains your interest in this position.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in IT Management, Systems Administration, or a senior support role
- Experience in Financial Services or Wealth Management required
- Experience administering a Microsoft 365 environment including Microsoft Intune and Azure
