Job Description: Summary This position supports the Ryder Continuous Improvement culture as a dedicated resource performing daily route planning and optimization for dedicated customers across the Ryder network. The Routing Specialist will process orders from customers utilizing automated processes and leveraging routing software to produce optimal route plans for execution by the Ryder operating team in a timely manner. This position will interface with operating teams in various parts of the country and includes collaboration with counterparts within the engineering team. This position reports to the Lead Engineer, CI Manager or Sr. CI Manager and is closely aligned with Operations management. Essential Functions - Performs daily route planning for operating teams, leveraging automated processes and using transportation modeling software. - Monitor electronic processing of order files from customers and processing of completed routes back to DTS operating teams. - Produce optimal, executable, multi-stop dedicated routes based on pre-determined parameters and customer orders provided within a defined period of time. - Responsible for route planning for multiple sessions per day for multiple locations for 1 or more customers, typically taking 1 to 2 hours each sessions Additional Responsibilities - Performs other duties as assigned. • Manage and scale ClickHouse clusters (replication, sharding, distributed tables) to 100s of TBs. • Maintain data consistency across replicas and shards. • Profile and optimize heavy ETL/ELT queries and table engines. • Tune key configs (max_threads, max_memory_usage, merge settings, I/O schedulers). • Benchmark cluster performance (ingest throughput, query latency, merge rate). • Proactively work with engineers to optimize schema and query patterns. • Improve observability stack on DataDog. • Set up alerting on query performance, merges, replicas, and disk usage. • Own backup and restore processes (to secondary cluster and S3). • Plan and execute upgrades with zero or minimal downtime. • Test and document disaster recovery scenarios. • Own security within ClickHouse, including access control, encryption where applicable, and adherence to internal and regulatory data protection requirements. • Resolve production issues and figure ways to prevent them. • Participate in the Architecture Review process to ensure major changes to the product portfolio have data flow and ClickHouse considerations represented at the very start.

• Ensure high quality design of protection schemes for all kinds of T&D substations, Data Centers, Industrial, BESS applications including one-lines, three-lines, AC / DC schematics, and relay settings. • Review, propose optimization and seal (P.E. stamp) protection and control designs prepared by himself or other team members. • Lead and coordinate all P&C technical aspects of AC power substation projects, especially ensuring successful and safe operation of power system equipment. • Review power system load flow studies, fault studies, relay setting coordination, and transient studies performed by other agencies. • Develop or Review outage, cut-over, and testing procedures. • Interface with internal and external team members such as Protection and Control Engineers, Lead engineers, Project Engineers, Electrical Designers, Civil Engineers, Physical Designers, Draftsmen, Project managers, Sourcing, and support organization. • Interface with customer technical representatives. • Lead or support factory acceptance testing and site testing & commissioning. • Work on development of proposals including writing and/or reviewing technical specifications, estimating design man-hours and materials, supporting sourcing for vendor quotations, and developing clarifications and exceptions as well as performing technical validation.
