Role Description This role involves evaluating processes, transactions, records, metrics, systems, and technology to identify and minimize risk, ensure compliance, and improve the effectiveness of operations and controls. - Determines or validates accuracy, consistency, and compliance of component and end-to-end transaction processing in one or more business domains using production or test environment simulations, sampling, automated data reviews and analysis, and other methods. - Participates in external audits or assessments, including tracking and monitoring requests and gathering responses. - Investigates and quantifies impact and risk associated with problems, exceptions, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvements identified in internal audit. - Documents and reports the results of internal and external quality reports, assessments, audits and remediation verification. - Documents and reports problems, exceptions, or opportunities for improvements to other departments. - Maintains documents and records according to the corporate record retention policies, best practices for audit, and departmental standards. - Participates in the evaluation and improvement of audit criteria and procedures, documentation, manuals, and records and assists in the tracking and reporting of departmental dashboard elements. - Performs other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above. About the role We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead and coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of hardware assembly programs across cross-functional teams. This role is critical in managing end-to-end hardware assembly processes from prototype builds to mass production, ensuring timelines, quality, fixture readiness, and cost targets are met. Responsibilities Drive cross-functional program management for hardware assembly across mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams. Manage the development and deployment of assembly fixtures, SOPs, line layouts, and production equipment-including automation and AOI-to ensure they meet engineering and manufacturing requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. 8+ years of experience in technical program management within hardware, preferably in assembly or NPI environments. Strong understanding of hardware assembly processes, fixture development, and quality control systems. Demonstrated ability to work hands-on in factory environments and partner closely with manufacturing teams. Excellent project management, organizational, and cross-functional coordination skills. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Linear, Confluence, and PLM systems (Arena, Agile). Ability to travel to the San Jose factory site frequently (up to 50%). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, 3D printing, and sheet metal fabrication. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Role Description Kearns & West seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead day-to-day management of an expanding Appliance Upgrade Program (AUP), funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) program and the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). This is a contractor position and is contingent upon contract award. This role has the potential to transition into a full-time permanent position as the contract evolves. - Oversee internal staff, implementation contractors, and statewide retailer and contractor networks. - Guide program expansion to new appliances, funding streams, and customer segments. - Manage federally funded utility or appliance upgrade incentive programs. - Ensure compliance, documentation, reporting integrity, and performance optimization.
