Job Description
Fire Protection Engineer
Miracorp
• Design and evaluate fire protection systems (alarm, detection, sprinkler, suppression, fire pumps) • Perform hydraulic calculations, system layouts, and equipment selection • Review A/E and contractor drawings for compliance with codes and NFPA standards • Conduct inspections, testing, fire hazard analyses, and field assessments • Develop life safety plans and fire safety programs • Prepare technical reports and recommend corrective actions • Provide guidance to project teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities • Support performance-based design using fire modeling and egress analysis • Deliver training and support system installation, maintenance, and upgrades
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Fire Protection or related field)
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of fire alarm and suppression system experience
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Healthcare or life safety code experience preferred
- AutoCAD experience preferred
