This description is a summary of our understanding of the job description. Click on 'Apply' button to find out more. Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer who doesn't just "move data" but architects the pipelines that power data intelligence for our customers. If you’ve spent your career turning messy datasets into elegant, scalable solutions—and you’re excited about the intersection of traditional data engineering and the new frontier of AI—you’re in the right place. As a senior member of our team, you’ll be a technical linchpin, bridging the gap between our domestic Product, Analyst, and Customer Success teams as part of our cloud engineering team. Your goal is to design, build, and optimize a modern data ecosystem. We operate in a hybrid environment where legacy stability meets cutting-edge flexibility. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our data is performant, compliant (especially within the nuances of the Insurance industry), and ready for both human analysis and machine learning models. What You’ll Do - Data Modeling and Architecture: Architect and build robust, consistent, and non-redundant Dimensional Models within the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to solve specific business use cases, ensuring optimal performance for PowerBI consumption. - ETL/ELT Pipeline Development: Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines, leveraging Matillion and ADF for orchestration, and PySpark for intricate data transformations. - Data Ecosystem Management: Manage and optimize the data footprint across key platforms, including MS SQL Server, Snowflake, and the MS Fabric environment. - Innovate with AI: Integrate AI tools (Copilots, LLM-based automation, or predictive features) into our data workflows to increase efficiency and data quality. - Collaborate Globally: Work closely with our Global Development Centers to ensure architectural consistency while acting as a primary technical partner for Product and Customer Success teams. - Data Stewardship: Transform complex insurance domain logic into clean, reliable datasets that our Data Analysts can trust implicitly. Qualifications - Minimum 8 years experience - Engineering or BS degree Requirements - Expert SQL & Python: You can write complex queries in your sleep and build robust, modular scripts in Python/PySpark. - Cloud Data Platforms: Deep experience with Snowflake (warehousing) and MS Fabric (the future). - ETL/ELT Mastery: Proven track record with Matillion or similar cloud-native orchestration tools. - Big Data Savvy: You know how to handle high-volume, high-velocity data without breaking the bank or the server. - AI Fluency: You aren’t just curious about AI; you’re actively using AI tools to speed up development or enhance data insights. Benefits - Generous PTO and 11 paid holidays, plus well-being and volunteer time off. - Up to 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave and a baby stipend. - Multiple medical plan options with mental health and wellness support offerings. - 401(k) with company match and vesting after one year. - $400 annual well-being stipend and tuition assistance up to $5,250. - Recognition Rewards, Referral bonuses, exclusive discounts and more!
