Job Description
Coordinator, Talent Acquisition
Cayaba Care
About Us: The United States has the poorest maternal and birth outcomes of all developed countries with the underserved, Black, Brown, Indigenous communities disproportionately affected. Cayaba Care is working to drastically change the experience of affected communities by reimagining how we deliver meaningful and compassionate care to expectant moms. Cayaba Care’s mission is to improve pregnancy, birth and the postpartum journey for women and their families by reimagining how maternity care is delivered. Our team is focused on building trust-based engagement and wrap-around support for expectant moms at home, in person and virtually to ensure they have all the social support they need for a successful and joyful pregnancy journey. We help our members with care navigation, doula support, assistance with lactation, nutrition, housing, transportation and a wide range of other needs. We leverage technology to support our virtual engagement that allows us to meet all our moms where they are. We ensure that our members have trusted sources for support, resources, and information throughout their pregnancy, delivery and well into postpartum. About Us InStride Health’s mission is to deliver specialty anxiety and OCD care that works for every kid, teen, young adult, and family who needs it. Through this mission, we are expanding access to insurance-based care, increasing engagement in treatment, and improving treatment outcomes. We are doing this by combining research-backed clinical care and innovative technology to eliminate the major problems with care today: difficulty finding providers, months of waiting to be seen, arduous onboarding processes, and inconsistent use of evidence-based therapies and outcomes tracking. Our vision is to become the nation’s most trusted provider of pediatric anxiety and OCD care. Team InStride Health: Our Core Values - Give Heart: We lead with heart, treating patients and their families the way we want our loved ones to be treated. - Work Smart: We find smarter ways to solve hard problems and fix the broken mental health system by leveraging technology, diversity of thought, and innovation. - Have Humility: We leave our egos at the door, empowering our team to collaborate, celebrate diversity, and adopt a growth mindset. - Embrace Community: We all belong. We are in this together, and we never worry alone. We believe in each other and recognize that every voice matters. About the Role We are seeking an HR Generalist to support the day-to-day execution of our People Operations function. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, this role is critical to delivering an exceptional employee experience across the full lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding, while ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and cultural engagement in a fast-growing, fully remote organization. Responsibilities: - Onboarding & Lifecycle Management: Execute the day-to-day logistics of onboarding and offboarding. This includes managing new hire paperwork (background checks, HRIS setup, I-9s, Everify), coordinating IT needs, and overseeing week 1 onboarding logistics to ensure a "best-in-class" welcome. - HRIS & Data Integrity: Act as a co-administrator of our HR platforms (Insperity, Lattice, Greenhouse Onboarding). You will maintain our employee files and process all data changes (promotions, manager changes, pay adjustments, etc.) with accuracy and confidentiality. - Compliance: Support HR compliance processes in partnership with our PEO (Professional Employer Organization - Insperity) and Director of People Operations, ensuring accurate execution of established policies and procedures. - Benefits Assistance: Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits. We have a benefits team of support at Insperity, but you should be knowledgeable enough to answer tier 1 questions and escalate as needed. - Parental Leave: Support employees through InStride’s 12-week paid parental leave program by guiding them through policy details, leave planning, and coordination of benefits. Partner with our PEO to administer leave and ensure compliance with applicable state-specific paid family leave programs. - Payroll: Partner with our Controller and PEO payroll manager on a biweekly to ensure accurate payroll adjustments based on employee leaves, promotions, terminations etc. - Culture & Engagement: Help bring our culture to life by coordinating remote team-bonding events, facilitating local meet-ups, and assisting in planning our annual company-wide retreat. - Relationship Building: Build strong working relationships across teams to ensure a seamless employee experience. - Performance & Development: Partner with our Director, HRBP to support the operational execution of People team initiatives such as performance review cycles and engagement surveys. Support lower-tier employee relations matters and special projects as needed. What You Need to Succeed in the Role - 2–4 years of HR experience, ideally in a high-growth startup. Healthcare company is a plus, but not required. - Process Obsessed: You love a good checklist. You have a natural ability to manage multiple "moving parts" without letting anything fall through the cracks. - Tech Savvy: Experience managing an HRIS platform and owning employee data reporting. Confident using Google Sheets and AI to work smarter. - High Empathy & Discretion: You handle sensitive employee information with the utmost confidentiality and approach every employee interaction with kindness and a "service-first" mindset. - Agility: You are comfortable with the ambiguity of a start-up and are excited by the challenge of building processes where they may not yet exist. - Mission-Driven: A genuine interest in pediatric mental health and a desire to support the clinicians and staff who make our mission possible. The expected annual salary for this role is between $73,000-$82,000. Actual starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis and will be based on several factors including but not limited to specific skill set, work experience, licensure, etc. Why Join Our Team - Generous benefits package (401k with match, Flexible PTO, paid holidays, 4 week paid sabbatical, 12 week paid parental leave, health benefits starting on your first day, and more) - Opportunity to join a mission-driven company that is changing the landscape of pediatric mental health treatment - Chance to make a far-reaching impact by helping children and families access desperately-needed, evidence-based care - Opportunity to work with talented and experienced team members who have devoted their lives to solving this problem - Fully virtual: work from the comfort of your home with periodic in-person retreats Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB) We want to make our clinical services available for everyone, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or how you identify.
