Instead of just auditing from afar, you will work side-by-side with our Procurement and Supply Chain teams to build and maintain a "culture of readiness." Your goal is to ensure our Contractor Purchasing System (CPSR) remains DCMA-approved by providing proactive oversight, hands-on training, and clear guidance to our buyers. You aren't just the "compliance officer"—you are the strategic partner who helps our buyers succeed. The Work: - Integrated Oversight: Move beyond "pass/fail" auditing. Use these as teaching moments to elevate the team’s overall competency. - CPSR Leadership: Lead the DCMA audit process by showcasing our team's collaborative strengths and robust internal controls. - Training Curriculum: Develop and deliver engaging training sessions that translate dense federal regulations into practical, everyday procurement actions. - The "Guide" Mentality: You enjoy teaching. You’d rather help a buyer fix a mistake today than write them up for it tomorrow. - DFARS Fluency: You have a deep understanding of DFARS 252.244-7001, but you know how to explain it to someone who isn't a lawyer. - Bridge Builder: You can balance the firm requirements of DCMA with the fast-paced reality of a high-growth purchasing department. - Audit Veteran: You have successfully led or supported a CPSR and understand that a prepared, confident buying team is the best defense. Here's what you need: - Experience: 8–10+ years in Federal Procurement/Subcontracts, with a heavy focus on compliance as a service. - CPSR Expertise: Direct experience managing the DCMA Contractor Purchasing System Review process. - Tactical Skills: High degree of at - Soft Skills: Exceptional emotional intelligence and communication skills. You must be able to influence and lead without always relying on "authority." - Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; NCMA certifications (CPCM/CFCM) are a major plus. Bonus if you have: - Advanced skill in developing compliant negotiation strategies with DCMA/DCAA to support successful audit outcomes. - Significant leadership experience conducting procurement compliance training and serving as an on‑demand subject-matter resource for real‑time questions. - Extensive experience reviewing and interpreting contracts to ensure alignment with regulatory, organizational, and audit standards. - Demonstrated senior-level attention to detail in managing compliance metrics, ensuring data accuracy and integrity in reporting. - Advanced ability to evaluate procurement practices for their effect on both estimating system adequacy and accounting system compliance. - Strong understanding of emerging supply chain risk frameworks, including NIST, CMMC/DFARS cybersecurity requirements, and federal supply chain security mandates. - Proven capability to advocate for procurement concerns when collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on enterprise-wide policies, processes, and regulatory responses or strategic initiatives. - Strong aptitude for envisioning how AI‑driven insights can support continuous improvement, audit readiness, and regulatory alignment. - Experience championing innovation, including envisioning how AI‑driven insights can improve efficiency and support continuous improvement, audit readiness, and regulatory alignment.
