Work From Home. Position Summary: Support all credit union Consumer Loan Officers in a courteous and professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient, accurate service to all internal staff of MCU. This position is responsible for processing, auditing, and funding new loans submitted by MCU CLOs. Upholds MCU lending policies and ensures procedures in place are followed. Works with management to develop or refine procedures to ensure loans are compliant with internal policies and all regulatory guidelines. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to CLO’s involved in lending as needed. Duties and Responsibilities: - Effectively use software including Microsoft, Symitar/Episys, Synapsys, Synergy and CLX, our loan origination system. - Works closely with the Consumer Loan Processing Manager in developing and refining procedures to ensure efficient processes. - Ensures compliance with all current and pending applicable rules, laws and regulations. - Answer any incoming calls from internal teams. - Provide exceptional member service to our CLOs and members. - Abide by all applicable rules and regulations. - Provide support to department manager and carry out assigned duties and projects. - Maintain required reporting and balance, including assisting with quality control reviews as needed. - Additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Consumer Loan processing and auditing of new loan submissions. - Consumer loan funding of new loan submissions. - Vehicle CPI add-on and refunds/insurance waivers. - Title processing and lien perfection verification. - Total Loss/Letter of Guarantee processing. - GAP policy creation and cancellations. - Debt Protection creation. - Loan Cancellations. - Knowledge of non-real estate lending. - Knowledge of perfecting non-real estate collateral. - Knowledge of final loan documentation. - Ability to identify processes that can be improved. - Ability to make sound, on-demand decisions and know when to involve higher level management. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy. Education and Experience: - Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred. - 1+ Years in lending industry with emphasis on servicing/processing. - Above average computer skills. Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation): - Long periods of sitting will occur regularly. - Occasional lifting and/or moving 15 lbs or less. - Use of a computer and telephone required. - Occasional bending, stooping, or crouching may be required.
