Role Description This role involves producing code-compliant, constructible fire sprinkler system designs from concept through permit approval and construction support. - Design and layout fire protection sprinkler systems—including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and tank systems—using specialized CAD software based on the AutoCAD (AutoSprink) and Revit. - Coordinate sprinkler system piping with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical building components. - Perform hydraulic calculations and convert design dimensions into fabrication-ready measurements. - Read and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts. - Apply applicable NFPA standards based on building type, construction type, hazard classification, and architectural features. - Prepare complete design submittal packages and manage correspondence required to obtain design approvals and permits. - Review work orders, scope sheets, and procedural manuals to determine critical design requirements. - Prepare fabrication lists for pipe fabrication vendors and requisition materials as needed. - Conduct field surveys and field checks to verify design accuracy and suitability for installation. - Assist field personnel with design-related installation questions and resolve design issues during construction. - Coordinate with Estimation, Design Management, Operations, and other internal teams to meet project schedules and delivery dates. - Communicate with AHJs, contractors, and other trades to ensure compliance and coordination. - Support permitting and inspection processes, including preparation of required documentation. - Participate in pre-design, coordination, and review meetings. - Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and quality enhancement. - Prepare and submit final job close-out documents following acceptance testing. - Adhere to company safety policies and maintain a professional, customer-focused approach. Qualifications - 5+ years of fire protection design experience. - Proven experience with AutoSprink and / or Revit. - NICET Level III–IV certification in Water-Based Systems Layout preferred. - Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, NFPA 13D, and related standards. - Experience with BIM coordination and designing fire sprinkler systems across multiple system types and manufacturers. - Strong understanding of NFPA standards and applicable codes (IFC, IBC, NEC). - Ability to visualize 3D concepts and solve mathematical problems involving geometry and algebra. - Skilled in reading and interpreting architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings. - Maintain accurate, auditable records and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality. - Ability to obtain and maintain required national, state, and local licenses. - Ability to travel in area as needed. Role Description As a Field Manager for Electronic Security, you will provide guidance and support to ES technicians while keeping your region on track to meet regular production goals. You will be responsible for overseeing operational expenses and meeting monthly budget goals by enacting cost-effective production action plans. - Proactively communicate with technicians and members of the Operations team to successfully achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals. - Manage and monitor monthly field production, workflow, and deadlines. - Identify potential production issues and enact cost effective action plans to meet production deadlines as necessary. - Prepare weekly production reports for review by supervisor. - Monitor daily production of individuals spanning multiple states and adjust their workloads as necessary. - Work orders must be uploaded within 48 hours of completion. - Utilize a proprietary website to manage the successful completion of thousands of work orders each month. - Route and schedule work for your technicians and review routes for cost effectiveness and manpower feasibility. - Cultivate and track technicians’ monthly progress. - Manage special projects within the region and the manpower that is assigned them. - Provide guidance and support to your team and coordinate with technicians to resolve any problems that arise in the field (scheduling, work orders, expenses, routes, inventory, etc.). - Act as liaison between your team and headquarters to create effective resolutions to field issues. - Oversee the development and training of your team. - Maintain onboarding development for new team members. - Provide onsite technical support – phone tree support to technicians and team. - Coordinate with Recruiting, HR, Training, Parts, etc. to successfully hire and onboard new technicians. - Maintain an understanding of all varieties of work currently undertaken by Cennox. - Prepare monthly regional profit and loss statement reviews detailing reasons for monthly expenditures, revenue shortfalls, gross margin percentages and budget variances. - Perform other duties as assigned.
