Our Network team follows a hybrid work schedule: we work in-person from our office on Tuesdays and Thursdays with optional remote days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, if your team’s scope of work permits. Deliver powerful results To achieve our vision, we are searching for a Head of Development with a Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of experience in nonprofit philanthropy, including individual giving and institutional fundraising. The ideal candidate is a committed fundraiser who has a proven track-record of securing major gifts and leading comprehensive fundraising campaigns. This leader brings direct ownership of fundraising outcomes, with experience managing and growing individual giving programs and personally cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors. The Head of Development has experience building and leading high-performing teams; has a creative, problem-solving mindset; is an incredible written and oral communicator; excels at building relationships; and is deeply motivated by Zeta’s mission. The position title will be commensurate with candidate experience. Zeta’s Development team obtains the private funding needed for Zeta to deliver on its promise of world-class schooling and achieve its growth plan. In this role, you will lead Zeta’s Development efforts by: - Establishing Zeta as a top choice for philanthropy for those looking to support innovative solutions to the education crisis and to transform the landscape of public education - Planning, executing, and evaluating Zeta’s annual fundraising strategy and initiatives to achieve Zeta’s annual fundraising target - Planning fundraising and other special events, from concept through execution, including sourcing and managing vendors - Expanding Zeta’s base of support among institutional and individual donors - Communicating with donors/supporters and board members and answering inquiries in a timely fashion - Supporting Zeta grant-writing and award applications - Managing donor and supporter relationships and visits to Zeta schools - Creating pitch and solicitation materials, with special attention to tailoring messaging for particular audiences - Staying on top of fundraising trends in education and the broader nonprofit sector - Supporting the Head of Strategic Impact and CEO in growing and managing Zeta’s Board of Directors and Board of Trustees Join our purpose-driven community Zeta teammates are lifelong learners who live with child-like joy and a deep sense of purpose. The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary at or near the start of the range, depending on relevant experience and internal equity. • Design full-course curricula for Elementary School Literacy, including scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plans • Develop high-quality instructional materials, including student-facing lessons and text-based activities; writing prompts, discussion protocols, and projects; assessments and rubrics aligned to grade-level standards • Curate and develop diverse, high-quality text sets that reflect multiple perspectives and lived experiences • Ensure alignment to New York State standards and Zeta’s academic vision and outcomes • Embed explicit instruction in literacy skills, including reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical analysis • Design performance-based assessments that measure both content knowledge and transferable skills • Collaborate with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and other curriculum writers to ensure alignment and coherence • Iterate on curriculum based on educator feedback, student work, and assessment data

• Design full-course curricula for Middle School English, including scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plans • Develop high-quality instructional materials, including student-facing lessons and text-based activities • Curate and develop diverse, high-quality text sets that reflect multiple perspectives and lived experiences • Ensure alignment to New York State standards and Zeta’s academic vision and outcomes • Collaborate with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and other curriculum writers to ensure alignment and coherence

• Design full-course curricula for high school STEM subjects (e.g., Calculus, AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC), including scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plans • Develop high-quality instructional materials, including: • Student-facing lessons and problem sets • Labs, projects, and real-world applications • High-quality homework aligned with the course • Formative and summative assessments with clear success criteria. • Collaborate with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and other curriculum writers to ensure coherence across courses and grade levels. • Use feedback from educators and student performance data to iterate and improve curriculum materials.

• Design full-course curricula for high school STEM subjects (e.g., Robotics, AP Computer Science A) • Develop high-quality instructional materials, including student-facing lessons and problem sets, labs, projects, and real-world applications • High-quality homework aligned with the course • Formative and summative assessments with clear success criteria • Collaborate closely with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and other curriculum writers to ensure coherence across courses and grade levels. • Use feedback from educators and student performance data to iterate and improve curriculum materials
