Role Description The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving catering sales growth by actively prospecting new business, building strong local relationships, and ensuring every catering order is executed flawlessly. This role owns the catering business from first contact through post-event follow-up, acting as the primary ambassador for Zaxby’s locations in the Columbia market. - Proactively identify, pursue, and close catering opportunities with local businesses, schools, medical offices, and community organizations. - Build and maintain long-term client relationships through consistent follow-up, account management, and repeat-order development. - Manage catering orders from initial inquiry through delivery, confirming details, coordinating with store teams, and ensuring accurate, on-time, and professional execution. - Conduct post-event follow-ups to confirm customer satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and encourage repeat business. - Represent Zaxby’s in the community through in-person visits, tastings, and local networking to grow brand awareness and market presence. - Help develop engaging content by capturing high-quality photos and videos to highlight menu items, team culture, and community events. - Assist with local marketing campaigns, sponsorships, and promotional events. Qualifications - Proven experience in sales, catering, or business development. - Strong organizational, written, & verbal skills with a high level of attention to detail. - Comfortable working in the field while managing multiple orders and priorities. - Self-motivated and goal-oriented. - Demonstrated ability to build relationships and follow up consistently. - Experience with social media platforms and basic content creation tools is a plus. - Must have reliable transportation for local travel and outreach. Requirements - Regular work using a computer and standard restaurant office equipment for sales planning, guest communication, and order follow-up, with limited “office” time during peak canvasing and delivery periods. - Frequent work within restaurant locations to support catering execution, including exposure to kitchen and front-of-house operations, food preparation areas, and other potentially hazardous conditions. - Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and lift catering items for extended periods of time, and travel between restaurant locations and customer sites as needed. - Flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support catering deliveries, events, and guest needs.
