Role Description Xillium Professional Services is seeking a Director of Workforce Strategy to drive the strategic direction and operational health of our billable workforce. This leadership role sits at the intersection of operations, talent, and client strategy, translating workforce capacity and capability data into actionable decisions that support both client outcomes and company financial performance. - Owning the overall health, deployment, and strategic direction of the company’s billable workforce - Analyzing workforce capacity and capability data to inform operational and financial decisions - Optimizing resource management and utilization for a billable workforce, including staffing, bench management, and utilization targets - Leading and mentoring managers and team leads across operations, talent/HR, and client delivery - Presenting workforce health metrics (capacity, utilization, KPIs) to executive leadership - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align workforce strategy with client needs and company objectives - Leveraging data-driven insights to forecast workforce needs and support margin, revenue, and cost-to-serve goals Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in an allied health field - 3–5 years of experience in workforce strategy and/or resource management - Experience with workforce planning and capacity modeling for a professional services or billable-services workforce - Experience optimizing utilization and managing deployment for a billable workforce, including staffing and bench management - Proven ability to lead managers or team leads in an operational or talent-focused environment - Strong proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker), Salesforce, HRIS (e.g., Workday), and resource management or PSA tools - Experience presenting workforce health metrics (capacity, utilization, KPIs) to executive leadership - Ability to travel quarterly as needed Preferred Qualifications - Experience managing or supporting a virtual clinical support workforce for US healthcare services
