From proactive media outreach to high-performing commerce placements, you'll connect organic and paid strategies into a single, coherent narrative. 📒Your responsibilities: PR - Build and execute a proactive PR strategy that drives top-of-funnel awareness and brand credibility across key consumer and trade publications. - Secure consistent editorial coverage across high-authority trade, pet, health, and lifestyle media that supports our SEO and brand-building objectives. - Develop and pitch compelling story angles rooted in Wuffes' science-led positioning, founder narrative, product innovation, and customer impact. - Develop a pipeline of stories without hard ‘news’ - constantly thinking of ways we can create media-worthy brand moments that engage our editorial audience. - Manage press relationships with journalists, editors, and digital publications to build a pipeline of ongoing coverage opportunities. - Ensure Wuffes shows up in the right places when consumers — and AI-powered search tools — are researching pet health, supplements, and dog care. Affiliate - Drive significant revenue growth through high-performing affiliate partnerships, with a focus on Amazon and DTC channels. - Activate and expand relationships with top publishers and commerce editors to secure regular product features and roundup inclusions. - Build and execute publisher strategies for key tentpole moments — including Pet Day, Prime Day, Fall Big Deal Days, and Black Friday/Cyber Monday — to maximise visibility and conversion. - Grow DTC affiliate performance through partners like StackCommerce, GiddyUp, and other high-intent networks. - Collaborate across internal teams to align offers, creative, and channel strategy — identifying new opportunities to expand our publisher footprint. Strategy & Measurement - Develop an integrated PR and affiliate roadmap that connects earned media, content placements, and affiliate revenue into a single strategy. - Track and report on performance across both disciplines — coverage volume, domain authority, affiliate revenue, and attribution — with a clear view on what's driving brand and commercial impact. But beyond content, your real superpower is community - cultivating a passionate, engaged pack of pet parents who don't just follow Wuffes, they champion it. You'll know how to turn an audience into a movement, a customer into a lifelong advocate, and a social channel into a meaningful driver of business growth. 📋 Your Responsibilities: - Grow social reach and engagement across key platforms (IG, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn), through consistent, platform-native content tailored to the US audience. - Develop and execute a US social media strategy — deliver a channel-by-channel strategy aligned to brand and commercial objectives, including content pillars, posting cadence, tone of voice adaptation for the US market, and KPIs for each platform. - Produce and post high-quality content independently — create and publish a minimum number of pieces of content per week (across formats: video, static, stories, reels) that reflect the brand and perform at or above benchmark engagement rates, with on-camera appearances forming a regular part of the content mix. - Report on performance and optimise monthly — deliver a monthly performance report to the business with clear, insight-led recommendations that directly inform the following month's content plan. - Build and manage an engaged US community — own community management across all channels, responding to comments and DMs within agreed SLAs, fostering genuine two-way relationships that increase brand advocacy and repeat purchase intent. - Support influencer and creator identification — in collaboration with the Partnerships team, identify and flag relevant US-based creators or micro-influencers who align with Wuffes' audience and values, supporting outreach and relationship-building efforts. - Contribute to campaign and product launch execution — brief in, create, and schedule social content for all major brand campaigns, partnership collaborations and product launches, delivering assets on time and ensuring the US audience receives culturally relevant, localised messaging. ✅ What You Bring: - 3–5+ years of hands-on social media management experience for a US consumer brand — ideally in DTC, pet, wellness, supplements, or a high-growth e-commerce environment — with a demonstrable track record of growing engaged audiences. - Proven content creation skills, including the ability to shoot, edit, and post short-form video independently (comfortable with tools like CapCut, Adobe, or equivalent) and to appear on camera regularly as part of the content strategy. We don't just want to 'be' in retail, we want to 'win' at retail. We want to be the brand retailers share case studies of, the brand retailers want to try new things with and get excited about. A launch strategy isn't enough — we want to build true lasting relationships with always-on programmes. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of brand and commercial. You'll partner closely with internal teams and retailer marketing contacts to plan and deliver best-in-class activations, ensuring Wuffes shows up powerfully across every touchpoint — from the retail shelf to the trade show floor at events like Global Pet Expo, SuperZoo and VMX.
