Senior Director – Marketing

• Define and own Vibrant Planet’s brand strategy — Build and maintain Vibrant Planet’s brand equity, as well as its sub-brands, including Pyrologix brand as well as product and model brands • Define and own the overall marketing strategy — demand generation, content, communications, and field/partner marketing — aligned to company growth objectives and sales pipeline needs. • Build and articulate a compelling narrative for a complex, multi-faceted market that includes federal land agencies, state and local governments, utilities, insurers, and conservation finance players. • Coordinate closely with product team and product marketing, owning positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for new platform capabilities and customer segments. • Drive demand generation programs that deliver qualified pipeline in partnership with our sales and impact teams. • Establish Vibrant Planet as a thought leader in wildfire risk forecasting and mitigation/adaptation, community and forest resilience, and climate-smart land management through earned media, content, events, and strategic partnerships. • Collaborate closely with the science, product, and impact teams to translate technical complexity into clear, credible, and compelling stories for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Oversee PR, communications, and executive visibility — including executive and key team members’ public profiles. • Build and manage a high-performing marketing team, including hiring, mentoring, and managing agency and contractor relationships. • Define and track KPIs across brand awareness, pipeline contribution, content engagement, and customer marketing effectiveness.

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Software Engineer – App

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features across our Elixir/Phoenix/LiveView, JavaScript, and Postgres stack, spanning both our core wildfire resilience platform and our utilities applications • Work with large geospatial datasets — raster, vector, and tiled data — to surface forest planning, scenario building, and treatment outcome insights to end users • Partner with Product and Design to scope, refine, and deliver user-facing workflows for land managers, foresters, and partner organizations • Own features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration based on user feedback • Contribute to platform reliability through code review, automated testing, observability, and on-call participation in our Sev process • Collaborate with Environmental Analysis and Infrastructure teams to integrate geospatial models (Pyrologix, ForSys/Patchmax, canopy height) into the application experience • Improve developer experience and engineering velocity through tooling, refactoring, and documentation • Mentor and pair with other engineers, and participate in technical interviews as the team grows
Technical Partnership Success Manager

• Virtually, or in person, lead stakeholder or multi-jurisdictional meetings. • Understand the needs and pain points of each collaborator or stakeholder and work with them to problem solve. • Promptly track and respond to client needs in an organized, detail-oriented manner. • Independently research and prepare written, audio-visual, or other forms of communication describing complex scientific processes to a layperson audience. • Communicate the value and return on investment that Vibrant Planet provides to the customer's organization, their stakeholders, and their planning needs. • Cross-functional communication: communicate clearly with internal science and engineering teams. • Perform basic vector operations including buffering, clipping, and geometry cleanup to prepare spatial data for use in the Vibrant Planet platform. • Troubleshoot common spatial data issues such as invalid geometries, incorrect projections, and file formatting problems. • Review client-supplied spatial data to confirm it matches their intent and will work correctly in our system. • Lead customer-facing office hours and tutorials covering foundational spatial data workflows, occasionally in ArcGIS or QGIS. • Partner with the product team to test new features and products from a customer's perspective.
Wildland and Urban Intervention Specialist

• Provides technical assistance to the Resilience Group staff for conducting remotely sensed forest resource assessments and the development of key metrics for evaluating vegetation management treatment alternatives and benefits on woodlands, forestlands and within the wildland urban interface. • Monitors programs and policies of federal, state and local agencies on vegetation management use and management, laws and regulations to inform staff of potential opportunities. • Conducts resource inventories, obtains planning information, identifies conservation opportunities, and assists in developing conservation plans and contracts consistent with land use or defensible space needs. • Conducts site visits as needed to validate treatment unit attribution, GIS-designated harvest systems and prescriptions. Includes creation of a structured approach for validation and feedback as well as handoff to the customer success team. • Utilizes GIS/GPS software and hardware, FVS, and other software packages to summarize and produce high level analysis and reports for integration into existing workflows. • Works directly with the Resilience Group and also across the organization with our Software Engineering and Science teams to give feedback and contribute to developments in our technology. • Adheres to data standards and naming conventions, maintains and updates metadata. • Finds and assess quality of data from national, regional, and/or local sources. • Supports the preparation of landscape-specific Technical Reports.
