• Maintain and improve Vecima’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) • Support ISO/IEC 27001:2022 governance activities, including risk assessments, risk treatment tracking, control documentation, evidence collection, corrective actions, audit readiness, and follow-up on gaps • Coordinate periodic management reviews, policy and standards reviews, control updates, and related governance activities to support continuous improvement of the information security program • Maintain security metrics, dashboards, risk registers, and status reporting for leadership • Support and coordinate supplier security reviews, including due diligence, security questionnaires, risk assessments, remediation follow-up, and ongoing monitoring of higher-risk suppliers • Work with Supply Chain, Legal, internal business owners, and other stakeholders to ensure information security requirements are incorporated into supplier onboarding, contracting, monitoring, and offboarding processes • Use GRC, ISMS, and TPRM tools, including Optro (formerly AuditBoard), to manage security documentation, assessments, workflows, and evidence as applicable • Partner with internal stakeholders to define security requirements, assign action owners, track remediation, and escalate material security risks or unresolved issues as needed • Communicate security obligations, risks, and progress clearly to technical and non-technical audiences • Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s information security strategy aligned with business objectives • Stay current with emerging threats, security trends, and relevant technologies to help maintain an effective and practical security posture • Promote a strong culture of security awareness across the organization and support the delivery of effective security education and awareness activities • Support maintenance of the incident response plan and coordinate investigations, documentation, corrective actions, and follow-up activities related to security incidents

Role Description As a member of our R&D group, you will work in small cross-functional scrum teams made up of software developers, engineers, and testers. In this role, you will help design, build, test, and maintain software used across Vecima's product portfolio. You will contribute to software running in Linux-based and containerized environments, with opportunities to work across backend services, APIs, user interfaces, and deployment tooling. This is a strong fit for a software engineer who wants to grow in modern networking, management, and broadband software. You will work in a distributed engineering environment to help build scalable, high-performance networking and management solutions. This position includes the opportunity to work from home. Duties include (but are not limited to): - Contribute to backend software development in Linux environments using C++ and related frameworks and libraries. - Help build and maintain user-facing software using modern front-end technologies such as React and TypeScript. - Support the development and integration of APIs used by internal services and user interfaces. - Assist with containerized services and deployment tooling in Linux-based environments. - Work with developers, testers, and system engineers to deliver integrated product features. - Investigate and help resolve issues across backend services, UI behavior, and distributed systems. - Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of the software development process. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - 1+ years of software development experience, including internships, co-ops, academic projects, or early-career industry work. - Foundation in one or more programming languages such as C++, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript. - Familiarity with Linux or Unix development environments. - Understanding of core software engineering concepts such as debugging, version control, testing, and the software development lifecycle. - Interest in learning how backend services, APIs, user interfaces, and containerized systems work together in production environments. - Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly within a distributed engineering team. Requirements - Exposure to C++ backend development, including frameworks or libraries such as Poco. - Exposure to front-end development with React and TypeScript. - Familiarity with REST APIs and API-driven application design. - Exposure to Docker, containerized applications, or deployment automation. - Experience with Git, CI/CD systems, Jira, or similar engineering tools. - Coursework, project work, or internship experience related to networking, telecom, or distributed systems. - Familiarity with PON technologies such as GPON or XGS-PON. • Responsible for end-to-end testing of vCMTS software features, system workflows, and network behaviors • Design comprehensive test scenarios based on product requirements, feature designs, and system behavior • Execute end-to-end system tests for vCMTS features and workflows across distributed, containerized platforms • Perform manual and partially automated functional, integration, regression, interoperability, performance, recovery, and stability testing • Conduct risk-based testing and quality assessments to identify high-impact issues and support release decisions • Reproduce, isolate, and document defects found in lab, integration, and customer-like environments using logs, traces, and other system artifacts • Collaborate with software to review feature testability, support debugging, and drive timely issue resolution • Validate DOCSIS and networking behavior across downstream and upstream configurations, service flows, and broadband access scenarios • Verify modem registration, connectivity, stability, and traffic flow in customer-like environments • Validate timing and synchronization behavior as part of overall system readiness and operational stability • Improve testing processes, lab practices, automation coverage, and overall test efficiency • Contribute to the definition and evolution of test environments, lab topology, and equipment needs • Participate in backlog refinement, test planning, scrum activities, and cross-functional quality discussions

• Support development teams in infrastructure, CI/CD, and automation • Deploy applications and infrastructure changes to production • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues • Maintain and improve Linux-based systems • Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Nomad • Automate operational and deployment processes • Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams • Take part in technical discussions and refinement sessions • Help improve reliability, monitoring, and deployment processes

• Drive the development of manufacturing test processes for projects in development by R&D. • Define Design For Manufacture and Design For Testability requirements for the development project. • Support the project’s transition from a development phase through to mass production. • Provide support to other departments for products in a production or development phase. • Support activities including cost reduction, identifying root cause of systemic failures, EOL mitigation, design verification test, and volume test results analysis. • Develop test processes for new products from the point of failure analysis through to delivery. • Participate in design reviews related to product and manufacturing test processes. • Develop product requirements and support development of product features for manufacturing tests. • Support Sustaining Engineering functions such as cost reduction and root cause analysis of failures. • Define requirements for production process flow, automated test software, and test fixtures needed to manufacture the product.
