Role Description Uptime Crew is seeking an Engineering Specialist to support internal and external partners/teams. The Engineering Specialist acts as a bridge between recruiting and training teams, assisting the Engineering Manager in the planning, implementation, and execution of training activities while ensuring a great experience for trainees. - Coach, mentor, and guide multiple multi-functional teams of software engineers; providing clarity, communicating team vision, strategy, and progress to all team members. - Conduct daily lab sessions. - Provide professional and best practice guidance with an emphasis on quality, simplicity, maintainability, and performance. - Train and establish team culture with emphasis on customer centricity, engineering agility, creativity, collaboration, and a continuous learning/growth mindset. - Capture daily feedback to identify specific roadblocks and individual trainees’ concerns. - Provide operational oversight to Engineering Projects. - Guide Engineering Project requirements execution and Use Case building into systems solutions; building experiences that empower our Consultants to showcase their talent. - Assist the Engineering Manager in planning and execution processes, delivering robust engineering plans and prioritizing work across the team. - Monitor attendance, regular work assignments, and overall performance, escalating any identified performance issues to the Engineering Manager. - Execute the end-to-end Consultant delivery process. - Be a trusted partner for the Recruitment teams, conducting technical and behavioral interviews with early-career IT professionals. - Participate in special projects/tasks as assigned. - Support the Technology Operations Team in the creation and maintenance of training plans and course materials across multiple cohorts. - Assist in the integration of new concepts, courses, products, reporting, and feedback into existing coursework. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. - 2-3 years of professional technical experience. - Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience in a start-up environment is a plus. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to influence across job levels. Requirements - 5+ years of professional technical experience developing and operating software in one or more of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript, DevSecOps. - 1+ year of experience architecting, designing, and developing customer-facing software. - Self-driven and comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with changing priorities. - Ability to think strategically and tactically, with attention to detail. - Proven ability to establish positive working relationships with internal stakeholders. - Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multi-functional teams about various topics such as product requirements, user experience, system architecture, APIs, and project schedules. - A deep understanding of software development lifecycle, methodologies, and best practices. - Familiarity with Agile Software Development Life Cycle best practices. - Previous teaching or training experience. Key Responsibilities - Manage learners’ development and ensure they progress toward job-readiness - Review assignments, coding projects, and labs; provide detailed, actionable feedback - Respond to learner questions via Slack and calls (IST and EST timezone) - Offer technical guidance, best practices, and professional mentorship - Help learners troubleshoot issues in code, architecture, cloud deployments, data pipelines, or tooling—based on your area of expertise - Provide insight on modern engineering workflows, tools, and skill expectations in today’s workforce - Share feedback with the Uptime Crew training team to continuously improve the learner experience Qualifications - 5+ years hands-on experience in software engineering or data engineering - 1+ year in training, mentoring, or consulting preferred - Strong practical expertise in one or more of the following: - Backend development (Java, Python, Spring, Node.js) - Frontend development (React/Angular/Vue) - Databases, SQL/NoSQL, data modelling - DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes - CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) - Data engineering, analytics, AI/ML Requirements - Experience building or supporting enterprise applications - Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, and clean code principles - Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems - Version control and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) - Comfort troubleshooting issues across code, cloud deployments, or data workflows Nice to Have - Experience with test automation tools (JUnit, pytest, Jest, Mockito, etc.) - Familiarity with container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, or MLOps pipelines - Experience deploying apps or services on AWS/Azure/GCP - Prior experience teaching, mentoring, or managing junior developers

Role Description The Accounting Operations & Payroll Specialist supports end-to-end payroll timekeeping, vendor management, accounts payable/receivable, and state tax compliance across ADP Workforce Now, Deel, Fieldglass, Salesforce, and related systems. The role ensures accurate data entry, reconciliations, and reporting; maintains organized documentation for audits; and partners closely with HR and Finance to uphold GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities - Timekeeping & Payroll: - Validate and enter hours - Maintain earnings/deduction records - Organize/distribute confidential payroll reports - Administer HSA (Optum) manage reports - ADP/Systems: - Collect consultant hours and vendor invoices - Manage workflow approvals for timesheets/expenses - Maintain vendor profiles - Assist with 1099s and year-end payroll reporting - Tax Compliance: - Monitor/track state tax notices - Maintain records for audit - Monitor Smart Compliance for Tax IDs/filings - Assist with WA L&I quarterly filings and other state-level requirements - Accounts Payable: - Maintain VMS and vendor folders - Add vendor bills to accounting software/shared drives - Validate payment readiness - Accounts Receivable: - Finalize expense reports and upload to Salesforce - Validate Fieldglass data - Review contract billing terms - Prepare/update billing schedules and reconciliations - Reconcile incoming payments - Maintain payment reports - Perform overdue follow-ups - Documentation & Operations: - Maintain organized OneDrive and system documentation - Support day-to-day accounting operations - Ensure adherence to company policies and GAAP/IFRS - Handle problem-solving, research, and employee inquiries - Perform additional tasks as assigned This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple functions to support operational success.
