About the Role We are seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the VP of Fund Finance, this individual will help oversee the accounting and financial reporting activities of the firm's investment funds and related entities. Key Responsibilities - Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared by the fund administrator - Liaise with the funds’ service providers (fund administrator, auditor, etc.) - Analyze investment transactions to ensure appropriate reflection in the funds’ accounting records - Monitor cash activity and planning for the funds, including cash projections, line of credit advance requests, paydowns, and bank compliance - Assist with capital call and distribution calculations - Respond to investor inquiries and support financial reporting requests - Review investor statements and related communications - Ensure efficient, well-documented day-to-day processes and detailed accounting review - Contribute to ad hoc projects, including process improvements and AI-related initiatives Qualifications - 3-4+ years of experience of public and/or private accounting experience - Exposure to fund accounting within private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or similar investment vehicles - Strong and demonstrated interest in accounting - Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment - Proactive, adaptable, and brings a hands-on, team-first mentality - Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality - Thinks ahead, anticipates needs, and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement - CPA (active or inactive) a plus - Bachelors degree Location - San Francisco, hybrid work model.
