Role Description Under limited supervision, the Insurance Coordinator: - Checks patient insurance eligibility, benefits, limitations and coverage. - Obtains and tracks prior authorizations and follows up with insurances, patients and internal teams. - Documents/updates accounts regarding coverage guidelines and limitations. - Answers eligibility and benefit coverage inquiries. - Ensures patients understand, consent and are compliantly notified, having signed and consented to treatment costs and notified regarding estimated financial responsibilities, such as deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance amounts and 100% financial responsibility for non-covered costs. - Communicates with healthcare providers and insurances to ensure required standards and applicable laws are followed, upheld and compliantly met. - Makes recommendations for resolutions and notifies/informs if/when laws and or standards are updated or changed. - This position's role and responsibilities are deadline driven; requires accuracy and attention to detail. - Plays an essential and key role in the Dental School's revenue cycle management, with a direct impact on the clinic's financial and billing outcomes success. - Acts as a back-up to the billing team, assisting with answering phone calls. - Performs billing administrative tasks and other billing related duties, assisting in timely and accurate revenue cycle management outcomes. Role Description The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to develop AI-driven approaches to drug discovery under the supervision of Dr. Marvin Schulte, Associate Dean for Graduate Education. This position will focus on utilizing large and small molecular databases, explainable AI (XAI), and generative AI to identify and optimize modulators of neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) based on existing data. This is a part-time position, a 6-month limited-term role, and has the ability to be remote. What You'll Do - Develop AI-based models for virtual screening, molecular design, and lead optimization targeting nAChRs. - Integrate large public datasets and small experimental datasets to improve predictive accuracy. - Implement explainable AI techniques to enhance model interpretability and guide medicinal chemistry efforts. - Utilize generative AI approaches to design novel drug-like compounds with improved pharmacological profiles. - Validate computational predictions through experimental techniques, including receptor assays. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medicinal chemists and electrophysiologists, to refine drug candidates. - Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences. Overview This is a fully remote position. However, there is mandatory onsite training for the first 6-8 weeks. The Dental School Call Center department is responsible for answering incoming phone calls efficiently for the entire school and identifying the patient’s needs and assisting to their questions and inquiries appropriately. What You'll Do The Call Center Coordinator (CCC) triages or resolves new patient and general inquiries to the dental school made over the phone or online.
