Role Description The Purchasing Contract Administrator performs analytical and core contract administration tasks in support of Contracting and Value Analysis. The position includes heavy emphasis on strategic sourcing and system-wide contract standardization. - Manages and directs the solicitation of bids and proposals. - Analyzes proposal responses and contract alternatives to determine financial impact, negotiates and develops favorable agreements and contract terms, and secures and documents discounts where possible. - Conducts analysis and research as needed to support Value Analysis initiatives. - Develops, implements, and administers policies and procedures for the procurement of supplies, materials, equipment, services, and capital projects. - Communicates and coordinates with Department Heads as needed to maintain cooperative relationships and consistent practices. - Monitors and evaluates the performance of vendors to ensure that all parties are complying with contractual terms. - Meets with vendors and hospital staff to plan projects, resolve problems, standardize purchases, and implement savings. - Develops expertise in the portfolio of contracts to which he/she is responsible. Role Description The Trauma Data Coordinator (Trauma Registrar) accurately interprets and abstracts clinical data from the medical record into the trauma registry database as defined by the Pennsylvania Trauma Outcome Study (PTOS) and National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB) utilizing ICD-10 and AIS coding guidelines. - Works independently to complete case abstraction within applicable time frame. - Collaborates with other data coordinators on case assignment and submission. - Performs inter-rater reliability and validity checks on peer abstracted cases. - Utilizes abstracted data for quality and research projects and to guide trauma injury prevention initiatives. - Runs reports to prioritize work as directed by program manager. - Stays informed of all relevant PTSF and NTDB updates and changes. - Attends trauma-related meetings and conferences as directed. - Potential to work remotely; Dayshift - No Holidays. Qualifications - 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree. - Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role. - Trauma registrar experience preferred. - CSTR and CAISS certifications preferred.
