Role Description We are seeking an experienced Workday Developer to join our team in a fully remote role open to candidates across Canada. This position is part of our Individual Contributor (IC) engineering series and is ideal for someone who enjoys owning technical delivery, solving complex integration challenges, and working directly with clients and stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring strong Workday implementation expertise, solid software development experience, and the ability to independently drive solutions from requirements through deployment. Responsibilities - Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver scalable implementations. - Design, develop, and implement Workday integrations and extensions. - Prepare business requirement documents, configuration documents, technical specifications, and process flows. - Own meaningful pieces of work end-to-end, including design, development, testing, deployment, and handoff. - Make sound technical design decisions and communicate tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders and team members. - Provide accurate effort estimates and proactively communicate project risks or delays. - Participate in client discussions, workshops, and change request evaluations. - Contribute to Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and other project documentation. - Use modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar platforms to improve delivery efficiency and code quality. - Apply practical judgment regarding where AI/ML solutions add value versus where traditional approaches are more appropriate. - Support CI/CD configurations, build environments, and related development infrastructure. - Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices and coding standards. - Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance where needed. - Deliver high-quality customer outcomes while maintaining strong professionalism and communication. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from a recognized university. - 5+ years of experience implementing Workday integrations. - 6+ years of software development experience using Java, TypeScript, or Python. - Strong expertise with: - Workday HR Module - Prism Analytics - Workday Studio - Experience working directly with clients and project stakeholders. - Strong verbal and written English communication skills. - Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Salary range: - Associate / Intermediate Level: $120,000 to $150,000 CAD annually - Compensation will be determined based on experience, technical expertise, and interview performance. Role Description We are looking for a Team Lead, Workday Development to lead a remote engineering team delivering enterprise Workday solutions for clients across Canada. This role sits within our Engineering Leadership Series and combines hands-on technical leadership with team management, client engagement, and delivery oversight. The ideal candidate is an experienced Workday technical leader with a strong background in software engineering, cloud technologies, integrations, and team leadership. You should be comfortable making architectural decisions, mentoring developers, managing delivery risk, and acting as the primary technical contact for both internal stakeholders and clients. Responsibilities - Technical Leadership - Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Workday integrations and extensions. - Own technical decision-making and establish engineering standards for the team. - Review solution designs and ensure scalability, maintainability, and delivery quality. - Define technical approaches, development standards, and “definition of done” expectations. - Guide the team in the effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools and automated workflows. - Team Leadership - Lead and mentor a team of developers in a remote-first environment. - Allocate work across team members based on priorities, strengths, and development goals. - Support onboarding, coaching, and ongoing professional growth of developers. - Conduct constructive code reviews and foster a collaborative engineering culture. - Help resolve delivery challenges, technical blockers, and team conflicts when needed. - Project & Client Delivery - Work directly with clients and stakeholders to define requirements and recommend solutions. - Prepare estimates for larger initiatives and manage delivery expectations with stakeholders. - Communicate project progress, risks, blockers, and mitigation plans to leadership and clients. - Partner closely with Project Managers, QA Leads, designers, and client stakeholders. - Contribute to project documentation including technical specifications and implementation plans. - Ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with quality expectations. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from a recognized university. - 5+ years of Workday integration and implementation experience. - 6+ years of software development experience using Java, TypeScript, or Python. - Proven experience leading technical teams or large-scale implementation initiatives. - Strong expertise with: - Workday HR Module - Prism Analytics - Workday Studio - Experience working directly with enterprise clients and executive stakeholders. - Strong verbal and written English communication skills. - Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Preferred - WD Extend experience - Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) experience - Finance module experience - Salesforce integration experience - PeopleSoft integration experience Compensation - This role falls within the Engineering Leadership Series. - Salary range: Team Lead: $150,000 to $180,000 CAD annually. - Final compensation will depend on experience, technical leadership capabilities, and interview performance.
