Education/Experience: - A bachelors degree in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field is typically required. Construction Management degree is preferred. - Professional certifications such as CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) are advantageous. - Previous experience in project management or a related role is essential. - Experience in the relevant industry (e.g., industrial, food manufacturing, cold storage, etc.) is beneficial. - BIM experience is beneficial. Travel Requirements: - Ability to travel regularly for site visits, attend project meetings, corporate trainings, and events. - Travel expected to be at least 25%. - Ability to relocate to be onsite full time is preferred. - Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips. - Compliance with company travel policies and procedures. Title: Director of Environmental Sustainability Locations: Jacksonville, Florida (preferred) / Boulder, Colorado / Stevens Point, Wisconsin Job Category: Engineering Requisition Number: SUSTA001277 Hybrid Full-Time Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for creating, leading and growing Stellar's enterprise-wide sustainability strategy and programs and, therefore, must possess the appropriate technical, analytical, and collaborative skillsets to drive sustainable practices into all phases of the planning, design, and construction process. Project management and leadership experience is a must. The candidate must possess solid communication and presentation skills and serve as a strategic partner to departmental and executive leaders, driving measurable reductions in sustainability and environmental impact while strengthening Stellar's competitive advantage. The candidate's core technical skills should include mechanical and electrical design knowledge, as well as the environmental sciences, within multiple markets like; industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, institutional, and food. Experience conducting life-cycle analyses, energy modeling, and carbon footprint calculations, along with experience with energy efficiency and renewable technologies such as CHP, are required. A deep understanding of state and federal regulations, along with the ability to quickly ascertain local regulations is vital, as is an awareness of building codes related to energy efficiency and environmental compliance. Familiarity with green building certifications such as LEED, Green Globes, etc. The ability to analyze environmental data and model energy performance using statistical tools such as Python or R, as well as some basic production skills, i.e., the use of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM for sustainable design would be beneficial. Duties/Responsibilities: A minimum of 10 years of architectural or engineering experience is required. A minimum of 7 years of sustainability experience. An AIA or PE license, in good standing, is required in at least one state. LEED Accreditation is required. Up to 20% travel may be required. The Assistant Project Manager will also support the efforts to define the project's objectives and enforce quality control activities throughout its life cycle. • Support and manage a diverse engineering and design project team • Research, define, test, and implement processes • Develop P&ID’s, Process Flow Diagrams, Utility drawings, project specifications, and equipment layouts for food-processing facilities • Properly size, specify, and integrate process equipment • Coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical and control systems as required • Provide direction to engineers, designers and CAD operators for the creation of engineering drawings • Develop design specifications for external suppliers • Generate and manage various forms of communication throughout the life-cycle of a project • Prepare contract documents, calculations, observation reports, and estimates • Aid in the bidding of equipment and services by generating the appropriate bid documents • Assist in estimating layout costs for specified process; seek alternative methods that reduce cost of design • Effectively respond to the needs and requests of clients • Utilize company software/tools to ensure all necessary documents are in-place and processed • Provide onsite and/or offsite direction and support to Field Engineers and Superintendents throughout the equipment installation, startup, and commissioning phases
