• Support customer engagements, from booking to delivery, demonstrating operational excellence resulting in delighted customers. • Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, schedule, budget, and resources. Role Description The IT Infrastructure Engineer will own the design, deployment, configuration, and support of the IT and OT infrastructure that underpins the SCADA systems for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. This role is responsible for building and maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure across SCADA servers, virtualization platforms, networking, cybersecurity, remote access, storage, backups, and field connectivity. This person will work closely with SCADA engineering, controls, commissioning, project management, supply chain, product engineering, and IT operations teams to ensure infrastructure is standardized, deployable, supportable, and aligned with project delivery schedules and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities - Design, configure, and support SCADA infrastructure including servers, storage, network switches, firewalls, remote access systems, virtualization platforms, and backup systems for utility-scale PV and BESS projects. - Own the architecture and lifecycle management of Windows-based SCADA environments, domain structure, user access, patching strategy, antivirus, endpoint hardening, and system recovery processes. - Deploy and maintain virtualization solutions such as Hyper-V and/or VMware, including VM creation, templates, resource allocation, performance tuning, and migration strategies. - Configure and troubleshoot industrial and enterprise networking including VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, NAT, cellular modems, and secure remote access for project sites and internal engineering environments. - Support SCADA application hosting environments including server readiness, redundancy design, historian storage, NAS/SAN integration, backup and restore procedures, and disaster recovery planning. - Develop and maintain standard infrastructure architectures, build documentation, network diagrams, BOM inputs, installation standards, and commissioning support procedures. - Partner with SCADA software, controls, and commissioning teams to ensure infrastructure is ready for FAT, eFAT, HIL testing, site deployment, and long-term operations. - Troubleshoot infrastructure issues during integration, FAT, commissioning, and post-COD support, including server performance, network connectivity, remote communications, and cybersecurity controls. - Work with supply chain and manufacturing teams to define standard hardware selections, manage infrastructure-related procurement inputs, and improve build quality and repeatability. - Implement cybersecurity best practices across SCADA and OT environments, including user authentication, network segmentation, firewall rules, endpoint protection, logging, access control, and secure remote connectivity. - Contribute to infrastructure standards for project delivery as well as internal R&D, HIL, and demo/testbed environments. - Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for infrastructure-related field issues, quality issues, and delivery delays.
