Position: Associate Director of Business Development The Associate Director of Business Development is a strategic, high-impact role focused on growing business from awarded state and district RFPs and targeting large districts across the country. This leader will pursue the expansion opportunities from existing wins, converting them into long-term, multi-site partnerships, as well as proactively identify and generate new business in enterprise districts. The Associate Director of Business Development will report into the Director of Partnership Development The role requires deep knowledge of K–12 funding, procurement processes, and educational product lines—combined with a proven ability to sell consultatively and build trust with education leaders. This position is remote, with a mix of virtual and in-person engagements. Candidates must be available to travel approximately 30–35% of the time. Job Responsibilities Business Growth & Sales (50%) - Pursue new business opportunities in key target states and districts, expanding contracts into multi-site or multi-year partnerships. - Proactively identify, prospect, and qualify enterprise-level sales opportunities within the K-12 education market. - Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution. - Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline in Salesforce, accurately forecasting potential business. - Visit schools and districts to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities. Partner Engagement & Relationship Management (20%) - Develop multi-level relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders. - Act as a trusted advisor, aligning district needs with the right product or service. - Share student impact data in conversations and proposals to reinforce value and credibility. Funding & Market Expertise (20%) - Leverage K–12 funding sources (e.g., ESSA, Title I, Title III, ELOP, state initiatives) to position offerings effectively. - Act quickly on emerging funding opportunities and shifts in state/local priorities.
