Role Description A pivotal role in the Youth team, you will provide leadership, direction and support to Youth Leaders and members of the Aotearoa Youth division (online division). A team player with well-honed organisational skills, you will lead the development and delivery of a high quality program which enhances the personal development of its members. This will include planning of annual, term, nightly and lesson level - and of course the appropriate resources (ratio). - Effectively manage the Division to ensure a high performing team of Leaders and members - Provide mentoring, development and people leadership to Assistant Divisional Managers, Youth Leaders and Cadet NCO's - Contribute to annual, term, nightly and lesson programme planning - Ensure Divisional involvement across all aspect of the Youth Program - Actively engage in the delivery of Regional and District Level events as required - Ensure implementation and adherence to all St John Policies and procedures (CPP compliance and reporting, issue management and escalation protocols) - Make sure all activities are suitable, relevant, and of course, loaded with fun and adventure for all participants, whilst taking care to ensure they are in line with St John policy St John's Youth Programme provides young people with the experience to gain confidence, empathy, life, health and leadership skills - offering a fantastic opportunity for them to experience new things and of course ... have fun! Our vision is to become the youth development programme of choice in Aotearoa; in the outcomes for young people, quality of delivery and connection with the community. Qualifications - Proven leadership skills and a keen interest in working with young people - A proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships - An aptitude for working with a diverse demographic group e.g. age, culture, background - You will most certainly be an active team player - Have a natural talent for thinking and working outside the square - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Must be able to use a computer and have access to the Internet and E-Mail - Contribute a minimum of two hours per week to the role and attend overnight camps from time to time Additional Information Click “I’m interested” before applications close on 30 July 2026. • Assist the District Youth Manager to meet the requirements of the Youth Business Plan • Support Divisions to develop and deliver high quality programmes in line with the national curriculum, ensuring the level of service delivered to youth and the community is consistent and of the highest quality • Promote the youth programme to increase youth and adult membership • Support and manage Divisional recruitment through events and completion of recruitment processes • Provide on-going support and mentoring to your Divisions • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure divisions are operating within their guidelines and St John policy • Organise and actively participate in District/Regional youth events and activities

• Design engaging learning solutions for external audiences using adult learning and instructional design principles. • Create high-quality facilitator and learner resources, presentation decks, assessments, and digital learning content. • Develop e-learning modules and multimedia learning assets using contemporary authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise. • Collaborate with SMEs and internal teams to ensure learning content is accurate, relevant, and fit for purpose. • Ensure all learning materials align with brand, accessibility, and quality standards.
