Role Description SteadyMD is excited to invite Nurse Practitioners with licensure and residency in at least 3 of the following states (CA, TX, FL, NY, PA, IL, OH, GA, NC, MI) for a potential role with our team. You could have the opportunity to provide care on a number of programs that fit your interest and experience: - Weight Loss - Urgent Care - Primary Care - Functional Medicine Position Overview: - Role: Nurse Practitioner for Virtual Patient Care - Visit types: Primarily video visits with patients (synchronous) - Location: Fully Remote - Compensation: Approximately $60/hour Important Note: This is a 1099 contractor opportunity, provided that, this classification and rate of pay are subject to change based on the clinician's state of residence, applicable state employment and worker classification regulations, and the clinician's availability and involvement with SteadyMD, to ensure compliance with state-specific labor and wage requirements. Some Responsibilities Include: - Conduct initial intake evaluation video visits with new patients (ages 18+). - Holistically evaluate patients, review labs, and prescribe weight loss medications when appropriate, primarily GLP-1 agonists. - Work with a diverse patient population, emphasizing inclusivity and evidence-based care. - Regularly check and respond to patient inquiries via the patient portal and asynchronous chat. - Manage prescription refills and chronic condition management. Qualifications - Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in at least 3 of the following states: CT, NY, GA, DE, CA, FL, NJ, MA, PA, MD, SC, NC, RI, TX with residency in the licensed state. - Board Certified (AGNP-BC or FNP-BC) by the ANCC or AANP. - 2 years of independent practice experience as an NP preferred. - 1-year experience in weight loss medicine, including prescribing GLP-1 agonists preferred. - Must be comfortable prescribing compound medication. - Background in Internal or Family Medicine preferred. - Comfortable with complex chronic condition management preference. - Telemedicine or virtual care experience is preferred. The CMA serves as a liaison between providers, partner programs, pharmacies, insurance plans, support staff, patients, and others. They respond to inbound requests and assist with virtual care activities such as medication refills, connecting patients with clinicians, communicating test results, and providing patient education and support. Requirements - Schedule: Monday - Friday 12pm - 8pm CST - Certified Medical Assistant - Demonstrates awareness of medical/legal issues, patient rights and compliance of all relevant guidelines including HIPAA - Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and have the ability to assess data appropriate to the age-specific needs of the patients. - 3-5 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant preferably in primary care. - At least 1 year of experience in telehealth is preferred but not required. - Managerial or lead CMA experience preferred but not required. - Experience with electronic medical records systems.
