Care Support Specialist – Inpatient Consultations

• Manage inbound consult workflows end-to-end, including monitoring requests, routing to providers, and tracking patient progression to ensure timely follow-up • Serve as the first point of contact for hospital providers and the inpatient consult team, ensuring clear, professional, and efficient communication • Build, maintain, and update accurate patient charts in the EHR (Athena), including intake documentation such as medical history, consent forms, and ongoing updates (e.g., discharge details) • Collect and verify patient insurance information to support coverage confirmation and care coordination • Coordinate scheduling across inpatient and outpatient workflows, including retroactive visit scheduling and induction logistics (consents, portal access) • Prepare daily operational materials (e.g., huddle lists, discharge follow-ups, no-shows) to support team prioritization and care coordination • Conduct outbound patient outreach for re-engagement, linkage to care, and post-discharge follow-up • Collaborate cross-functionally with providers and internal teams to ensure smooth, timely, and high-quality care delivery • Adapt to evolving workflows, proactively identify inefficiencies, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and documentation quality standards

• Manage all provider credentialing and re-credentialing activities with commercial payers, Medicaid, and Medicare. • Prepare and submit accurate and complete credentialing applications for behavioral health and medical providers. • Maintain up-to-date provider rosters and ensure timely updates with payers. • Track and monitor credentialing application status, proactively resolving delays or issues. • Oversee the process of credentialing providers with hospital and facility partners to support our inpatient consult service line. • Collaborate with hospital medical staff offices to ensure provider files meet facility requirements. • Oversee the process of credentialing support team members who need hospital privileges. • Manage and track all provider licenses needed for provider to perform services across multiple states. • Support providers in obtaining new state licenses as Steadfast Health expands its footprint. • Ensure all credentials, certificates, and licenses are current and compliant with federal, state, and payer regulations. • Develop and maintain standardized credentialing policies, procedures, and workflows. • Implement systems (such as CAQH, credentialing databases, or software tools) to streamline credentialing operations. • Maintain credentialing files in accordance with NCQA, URAC, and other regulatory standards. • Generate regular reports on credentialing status, expirations, and compliance risks for leadership review.
Licensed Clinical Therapist – IOP, Afternoons/Evenings

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions within the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), for patients with substance use disorders, both in-person and via telehealth, embodying the Steadfast patient-first ethos. • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop treatment and discharge plans that align with IOP level-of-care requirements and evidence-based best practices. • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support patient recovery. • Collaborate with all clinic-level team members to formulate and execute patient care plans, including Advanced Practice Providers, Medical Assistants, and Peer Recovery Specialists, ensuring integrated treatment approaches. • Support patients in crisis intervention situations and coordinate higher levels of care when necessary. • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines. • Pioneer innovative ways of improving access and overall care for disadvantaged, marginalized populations. • Champion the company’s mission by modeling compassion and fostering trust and strong relationships with patients and communities. • Educate patients and families on SUD, co-occurring disorders, and available resources to support sustained recovery and overall health. • Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in SUD treatment.

• Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for Behavioral Health and SUD services across inpatient and outpatient settings. • Review clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal and state regulations. • Apply coding guidelines specific to mental health and substance use treatment, including outpatient behavioral health and inpatient consult services. • Identify documentation gaps and work collaboratively with providers and clinical staff to improve coding quality and documentation standards. • Ensure coding supports medical necessity and payer requirements. • Stay current with coding updates, payer policies, and regulatory changes related to Behavioral Health and SUD services. • Assist with coding audits, respond to audit findings, and implement corrective actions as needed. • Maintain productivity and accuracy benchmarks as defined by the organization. • Support billing and revenue cycle teams by resolving coding-related denials or questions.
