• The EHR Applications Analyst will have primary responsibility for requirement gathering, design, build/configuration, testing, validation and ongoing support of their assigned Epic application(s) and third-party systems related to those applications. • Responsible for managing projects related to Epic and related third party systems. • Participates in on-call rotation including weekend and after-hours coverage as assigned. • Understanding of the organization, users and workflow in the analyst’s assigned area. • Ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, manage issues, oversight and implementation of project plans.

• Responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, testing, documenting, and implementing software applications • Provides advanced level support to customers and coworkers for problems and issues reported • Contributes to process improvement • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented • Liaise with customers, other IT staff and vendors for design, planning, implementation and problem resolution

• Reviews provider documentation and revises and/or assigns ICD-10-CM codes and CPT/HCPCS codes • Researches and takes appropriate action on any coding/claim edits • Coding focus is contingent on open position and impending certification by the employee

Role Description - Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the purchasing card functions, promoting the program benefits, and providing support for Accounts Payable. - Work directly with management, auditors, and others to answer questions and articulate variances regarding all aspects of the Purchasing Card and Accounts Payable process. - Provide a leadership role within the Accounting Department in developing, implementing, and maintaining the operational and procedural aspects of the department. - Maintain accurate, easy to follow, electronic procedures for each responsibility. - PCARD: Maintain purchasing card accounts including account set-up, account closing, approval limits, and application of Merchant Category Codes to accounts. - PCARD: Review of transaction data and cardholder reconciliations on an ongoing basis to resolve issues with improper use and identify opportunities for cardholder training. - PCARD: Serve as liaison to issuing bank, building a strong relationship that results in increased customer service to cardholders and expanded use of products offered by bank. - PCARD: Develop necessary reconciliation process and resolution of issues with purchasing card payments to vendors. - PCARD: Educate cardholders through training classes, focused communications, and end-user training material. - PCARD: Recommend and implement improvements to the program to increase growth. - AP: Manages supplier records and relations. - AP: Ensure that all properly approved and documented invoices and payment requests are processed for payment in accordance with supplier requirements or other agreed upon terms. - AP: Manage cash flow, taking advantage of discounts from suppliers that offer them, eliminating late fees, using payment method for each supplier that maximizes cash. - AP: Work with Materials Management Department to ensure a smooth flow of purchase requisitions and invoices received for processing and/or payment. - AP: Prepare and distribute 1099’s annually per IRS guidelines. Verifies supplier W-9 information using IRS TIN matching program. - AP: Serve as liaison for AP staff, resolving issues that arise, elevating to Manager as needed. - AP: Educates AP service customers through training classes, focused communications, and end-user training material. - AP: Review of Physician contracts to ensure physicians are paid accurately and timely. - Manage escheatment process, ensuring accurate and timely filing to states as required. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. - Technical Experience: 2 years. Experience and Skills • Professional practice coding experience required. • Professional practice denials experience preferred. • Extensive knowledge and application of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes and modifiers required. • Knowledge of health information management practices, Joint Commission standards, and federal and state healthcare regulations required. Role Specific Responsibilities o Review, research, and respond to all denied invoices sent to Coding Follow-up work queues. o Collaborate with Coding staff as necessary to determine if coding is correct. o Work in close relationship with Patient Financial Services to determine the best course of action for denials. o Bring possible issues with Epic and potential improvements to Epic to the attention of Professional Practice Coding Manager. o Report opportunities for possible provider education to the Coding Educator as issues with provider-assigned codes are identified. o Report opportunities for possible coder education to the Professional Practice Coding Manager as issues with coder-assigned codes are identified.
