Role Description Our Platform Engineering (DevOps & SRE) team owns the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline ecosystem that the entire engineering organisation relies on. As engineering practices evolve, the team continuously looks for ways to improve efficiency and delivery speed — including making thoughtful use of modern tools, such as AI‑assisted workflows, to support clearer planning and faster execution within the team. We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Engineering team. You’ll bring clarity, structure, and predictable execution, while guiding a talented team of DevOps and SRE professionals. You’ll partner closely with product engineering teams, and you’ll embrace modern AI‑enabled tooling and practices to accelerate development and raise engineering effectiveness. This role also offers room for expanded scope as Scandit grows, including opportunities to take on additional engineering initiatives or teams over time. What you will do - Lead, mentor, and grow your team. - Bring structure and clarity to planning, execution, and reporting. - Own the operation and continuous improvement of our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. - Actively drive cross‑team initiatives in areas such as security and compliance (e.g. reducing Snyk vulnerabilities, supporting ISO-related efforts). - Strengthen security, reliability, and cost efficiency through disciplined processes, clear ownership, and consistent follow‑through. - Establish roadmaps, milestones, and progress reporting (e.g. OKRs) to ensure stakeholders have visibility into plans, risks, and delivery. - Proactively collaborate with product and engineering teams to align priorities and successfully deliver shared initiatives. - Identify bottlenecks and lead improvements that increase engineering velocity. - Take on additional scope and cross‑team leadership as Scandit continues to grow. Qualifications - A structured, pragmatic engineering leader who brings clarity and predictability to complex work. - Strong in project and program management, stakeholder communication, and cross‑functional alignment. - Experienced in leading DevOps/SRE or platform teams in a cloud‑native environment (AWS, GCP, GitLab or similar). - Comfortable driving cross‑team initiatives and seeing them through to completion (e.g. security or compliance efforts). - Able to engage with engineers at all levels and provide broad technical guidance. - Experienced in leading distributed teams with strong communication practices. - At least 3 years of software engineering experience and 5+ years leading teams. - Committed to high‑quality engineering practices and a people‑first leadership style. Role Description We’re seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant dedicated to ShelfView, Scandit’s AI-powered shelf intelligence platform. ShelfView uses smart devices, fixed cameras, and autonomous robotics to capture and analyze real-world shelf conditions, giving retailers actionable insights to unlock incremental revenue and improve operational efficiency. As a Solutions Consultant for ShelfView, you will: - Develop deep expertise in the solution, its technology, market landscape, customer value, and how it drives measurable outcomes. - Partner closely with the Account Executive (AE) to uncover customer needs, design practical solutions, and build compelling value propositions. - Bring these to life through presentations, RFx responses, proposals, and technical demonstrations, delivered remotely, via recorded video, or in person. - Play a critical role in technical selling, planning, and executing programs with some of the world’s largest grocers and retailers. - Work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Strategic Accounts to deliver value-driven outcomes. - Engage with prospects to understand their business processes, pain points, and goals. - Identify and present to prospects and customers how our ShelfView solution can improve current business processes and make store operations more efficient. - Deliver compelling product & solution demos focused on customer-specific use cases. - Ensure that the sales teams are accurately and suitably supported, resulting in successfully closed deals. - Handle technical deep-dives and detailed Q&A sessions. - Provide day-to-day solution expertise during the sales process, including directly interfacing with the sales team and potential customers. - Collaborate with sales and product teams to respond to RFPs and RFIs. - Help in crafting technical and functional sections of proposals. - Influence our product strategy by translating feedback from customers and prospects into actionable insights. - Work closely with product, engineering, and customer success managers to support the successful delivery and adoption of customer solutions. - Act as a trusted advisor to clients on best practices and solution capabilities. - Influence decision-makers and build relationships with technical and business stakeholders. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in a presales, technical consulting, or solutions role with strong relationship-building skills. - Experience working with enterprise retail clients, especially in grocery. - Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including presentations and proposals for both business and technical audiences. - Strong project management skills: planning, risk mitigation, timelines, stakeholder management. - Analytical mindset; comfortable working with data and generating insights. - Solid understanding of IT architectures. - An understanding of the mobile ecosystem and enterprises is desirable. - A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field is preferred. - Able and willing to travel extensively, including frequent customer visits.
