Role Description While this is a fully remote position, we are actively seeking candidates residing in the Southwest United States, with a strong preference for individuals based in Texas, Arizona, or Nevada. Ready to take the lead on all sales and marketing efforts for an assigned hotel portfolio? We're looking for an aggressive, goal-oriented leader to step in as our Regional Sales and Business Development Leader! This role demands a professional, knowledgeable, and creative approach to achieve stringent targets and ensure maximum revenue growth. Your Essential Sales & Strategic Duties - You are the primary engine for portfolio sales, responsible for generating new business, closing deals, and providing the strategic vision for revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Include: - Aggressive Prospecting & Solicitation: Prospect and solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication. - Business Development: Develop new business for the hotel portfolio through lead generation, cold calling, and other business development measures. - Group Sales & Closing: Handle the interaction, selling, and closing of group sales leads generated from the hotels. - Strategic Oversight: Creatively manage all aspects of the sales and marketing efforts for the portfolio, providing the strategic vision for maximum hotel sales generation and optimal revenue growth. - Market Leadership: Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers. Actively forge relationships and build rapport to cultivate and leverage external/internal relationships, driving business and market share awareness. - Team Collaboration: Foster a positive and sales-focused team attitude across all departments and maintain open communications for the best overall performance of the hotels. - Administrative Excellence: Promptly prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports, and complete file maintenance/database entry. Qualifications - Proven track record of sales excellence, strategic planning, and sophisticated business acumen. - Experience of successfully developing, implementing and benefitting from organizational sales strategies. - Experience working with senior management to align sales strategies and solutions across multiple markets. - Must have experience working in a corporate/business focused environment. - Possess excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successfully pitching for new business. As the Market Sales Manager, you are the key driver for market share and top-line revenue for your assigned focus hotels. Key Responsibilities Include: - Business Development: Proactively identify and qualify new incremental business opportunities to achieve ambitious growth. - Strategic Travel: This role requires a "boots on the ground" approach, with 80% travel to support hotels based on company needs and opportunities. - Account Management: Cultivate strong relationships with corporate accounts and lead rate negotiations and contracts. - SOAR Collaboration: Manage and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly workflows for regional sales, operations, and revenue (SOAR) partners. - Market Analysis: Maintain expert knowledge of market trends, competition, and customer requirements to propose winning strategies. - Reporting: Complete detailed trip reports after each visit, providing efficient turnover of leads and contacts to Regional Sales Leaders. Qualifications - 3–5 years in a management or leadership role, with 3–4 years specifically in hospitality sales. - Successfully achieving sales goals and increasing revenue through lead generation. - Excellent negotiation, presentation, and verbal/written communication skills. - Intermediate computer proficiency and the ability to analyze business periodicals and technical processes. - High school diploma or equivalent (Undergraduate degree in Business or Marketing preferred). Requirements - Ability to sit, stand, and walk for approximately 4 hours each in an 8-hour workday. - Frequent reaching (above and below shoulders), grasping, and climbing stairs. - Occasional lifting and carrying of 11–50 lbs. - Primarily indoors with occasional outdoor exposure and frequent operation of motor vehicles.
