Role Description Renewance is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you'll be focused on supporting the business with FP&A responsibilities, including but not limited to: - Planning, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial modeling - Financial and management reporting - Revenue and margin analysis - Supporting the monthly financial close process You'll also work closely with our Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and leadership teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency, while partnering with the Operations team to identify ways to improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with advanced financial modeling skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities, and brings a builder mentality: comfortable creating structure where ambiguity exists and continuously improving processes and tools. Responsibilities - Support with the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, working cross-functionally to consolidate inputs and produce quality outputs - Build and maintain dynamic financial models, including three-statement operating models, scenario analyses, and ad-hoc deal/project models - Identify and explain variances between actuals, budget, and prior periods; translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership - Partner with AP and AR teams to ensure accuracy in expense tracking, cash flow management, and timely processing of invoices and payments - Support the monthly financial close process in partnership with the accounting team, including accruals, project profitability, deferred revenue scheduling, and balance sheet flux analysis - Work closely with the Operations team to monitor key operational metrics and assess project financial performance - Produce monthly reports, including key metrics, financial results, and variance analysis reporting - Build and maintain reporting templates that can scale—reducing manual effort and improving consistency across reporting periods - Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across financial reporting, data workflows, and close processes Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; or relevant work experience - 4-7 years of financial planning & analysis experience - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable navigating ambiguity, working with large and imperfect data sets, and building structure where processes are not yet defined - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; advanced formulas, PivotTables, dynamic data modeling - Strong command of GAAP accounting principles; ability to read, interpret, and work from financial statements with confidence - Exceptional attention to detail—you catch errors before they cascade and build checks and validation into your models - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Self-starter with a proven ability to work autonomously, manage multiple concurrent workstreams under deadline pressure Benefits - Paid Time Off (PTO): 15 days of paid time off annually to recharge and relax - Insurance Plans: - Basic Life - Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) - Short-term Disability - Long-term Disability - Health Plans: Choose between our Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan or opt for a Health Savings Account (HSA) plan that suits your needs. - Dental and Vision Plans: Access comprehensive dental and vision coverage to ensure your overall well-being.

This role focuses on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and building a strong sales pipeline within the energy and battery storage markets. They'll also manage client and segment discovery for burgeoning new segments like Data Center Energy Storage. The compensation for this position is a base salary plus variable compensation, with an expected OTE of $110,000-$1300,000. This is based on national averages and does not include the benefits listed below. Renewance is a vibrant SME that is well poised for an ambitious growth journey in a high growth industry Position Description Renewance is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the implementation and ongoing operations of our NERC GOP and broader NERC program. You'll lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our NERC Generator Operator (GOP) compliance program while overseeing the operations of our Remote Monitoring & Operations Center (RMOC). This role is critical to ensuring that Renewance delivers reliable, compliant, and high-performance operations for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and related infrastructure under NERC jurisdiction. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of NERC compliance expertise, operational leadership, and real-time system operations experience. Responsibilities - Lead the development and execution of a NERC Generator Operator (GOP) compliance program, ensuring adherence to all applicable reliability standards and maintaining audit-ready processes, documentation, and evidence systems. - Serve as the subject matter expert on NERC compliance, partnering with internal teams, customers, and regulatory bodies during audits, reviews, and ongoing operations. - Manage Remote Monitoring & Operations Center (RMOC) activity to support battery energy storage and renewable assets, including real-time monitoring, alarm management, and grid communications. - Oversee real-time grid operations, coordinating with Transmission Operators, Balancing Authorities, and ISOs/RTOs to execute dispatch instructions, respond to grid events, and maintain system reliability. - Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate compliance and operational workflows into the RenewanceConnect platform, including monitoring, reporting, and predictive maintenance capabilities. - Support delivery of Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs), ensuring performance, availability, and compliance commitments are met while serving as a key customer-facing leader. - Build and lead a high-performing operations team, implementing training programs aligned with NERC standards and fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. Requirements - 7–12+ years of experience in power system operations, energy generation, or grid operations - Direct experience with NERC compliance, specifically GOP and/or TOP standards - Experience working in a control room / operations center environment (24/7 operations) - Strong understanding of: - SCADA/EMS systems - Grid operations and dispatch protocols - Experience supporting or leading NERC audits and compliance programs Preferred Experience - NERC Certification (e.g., RC, TO, or BA certification) - Experience with energy storage systems (BESS) or renewable generation - Familiarity with CIP requirements and cybersecurity practices - Experience working with ISOs/RTOs (PJM, CAISO, ERCOT, MISO, etc.) - Exposure to software platforms / digital asset management systems Travel & Location - The position location is flexible but will involve some travel to industry trade events, customer sites, and Renewance’s HQ in Chicagoland.
