Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Project Manager, Marketing & Communications , to ensure programmatic and operational efficiencies across the Communications and Marketing teams and beyond. This role will play a critical part in ensuring alignment across teams and driving execution on our most important communications initiatives to scale impact. The Project Manager, Marketing & Communications , will act as the operational leader and organizational integrator, helping the Marketing & Communications (MarComms) team operate at peak effectiveness. They will support the CCO in ensuring efficiencies across a dynamic and fast-moving team that works across media, campaigns, content production (including the production of assets from the field), and partnerships. Responsibilities - Agile Project Management & Execution: Support critical cross-functional projects from concept through execution, liaising closely across the MarComms team and contractors, ensuring focus, clarity on deliverables, and follow-through. - Process Innovation: Support and refine systems and processes that help the MarComms team run smoothly by streamlining workflows, using data to suggest process improvements that improve efficiency. Support department operations, workflows, and internal communications. - Vendor Ownership: Oversee systems for contracting vendors, tracking deliverables, and ensuring timely completion of high-priority initiatives, including the production of video and photo assets in remote and often challenging environments. - Cross-functional Bridge: Ensure alignment across campaigns, media, and digital platforms straddling marketing, communications, and other departments within the organization, as well as fiscally sponsored programs that fall under marketing and communications. - Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with external partners as needed, facilitating intake meetings to vet potential new opportunities. Represent the MarComms department in selected external meetings, ensuring coordination and follow-through. - Team Support: Anticipate needs, resolve bottlenecks, and manage information flow to enable the CCO and the MarComms team to focus on high-priority work and find alignment when needed to move forward productively and efficiently. - Special Initiatives: Lead or support high-visibility projects, events, or partnerships that advance Re:wild’s storytelling and positioning and ensure consistent brand expression across platforms and partnerships. Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in creative project management, communications, marketing, or related roles. - Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and align multiple stakeholders. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and writing abilities, with keen attention to detail. - Experience working in mission-driven organizations or global campaigns is highly desirable. - Comfort working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt quickly and manage competing priorities. - A collaborative spirit, with humility, creativity, and passion for Re:wild’s mission to protect and restore the wild. - Experience with media production preferred. Requirements - This is a full-time, exempt position. - Projected salary range of $75,000-90,000, with the final determination to be made commensurate with the candidate’s experience. Role Description Re:wild is seeking a Species Communications Manager to serve as the primary communications lead for our species recovery work with a global network of partners and donors. The Species Communications Manager will help develop and implement communications plans and strategies; work with program staff and partners to identify updates, stories and gather assets; and coordinate and create content, such as social media posts, blog posts, video scripts and related web content for an exciting new species recovery initiative. This person will be responsible for: - Helping establish messaging and strategy. - Curating stories from implementing partners. - Working with photographers and videographers to gather assets. - Crafting engaging written content. - Creating engaging visual content (both videos and graphics). - Working directly with Re:wild team members and partners. - Feeding into dedicated social media channels and broader communications platforms to highlight stories about species recovery, the people behind the efforts, and the benefits to the health of the planet. Responsibilities - Help develop and guide the execution of communications strategies and plans for programmatic partnerships focused on species recovery. - Maintain an editorial calendar for social media planning. - Develop top-line messaging and targeted messages for specific audiences. - Cultivate influencer partnerships. - Collect and analyze social media metrics. - Adjust strategy in response to new developments and data. - Ensure a regular drumbeat of engaging content for social media. - Write, create, coordinate and manage social media posts across the project’s social platforms. - Develop social media toolkits for amplification by partners and influencers. - Coordinate with web developers and other vendors as necessary to maintain the website. - Develop strategy for email updates for those who sign up. - Help coordinate professional photographers and videographers to get assets in the field. - Create social media videos and graphics, including carousels and infographics. - Support the media relations team by identifying upcoming milestones and newsworthy species recovery announcements. - Organize regular alliance/partnership calls and communications. - Provide monthly social media metrics reports. - Help develop and implement creative content campaigns related to species recovery work. Qualifications - A background in wildlife conservation or a similar applicable field of science. - 5+ years in a communications-related field. - Top-notch storytelling and social media skills (including caption writing). - Proficient in graphic design and video editing. - Experience developing and adapting content for a variety of platforms. - Proven experience with storytelling in the field of wildlife conservation or a similar field. - Able to use AirTable or have experience with a similar project management tool. - Must have “hustle.” - Commitment to and passion for Re:wild’s mission, vision, and values. Role Description The Senior Manager, Species Fund will lead and manage the deployment of a new large grant portfolio focused on the recovery of Endangered species, working under the guidance and supervision of the Fund’s steering committee. - Ensure the successful deployment of grants to local partners to fund the recovery of multiple Endangered species across the globe. - Provide strategic guidance and technical support to local partners and internal Re:wild teams in the development of high-quality species recovery proposals. - Review proposals to ensure they are compliant with all requirements, maintain strong conceptual rigor, technical soundness, and operational feasibility. - Monitor the implementation of grants, working closely with Re:wild project managers and local partners, and make required modifications to ensure on time and high-quality delivery. - Oversee the portfolio of grants in collaboration with Re:wild project managers and teams for individual species. - Lead periodic reporting to the Fund’s Steering Committee and serve as part of the Fund Secretariat supporting its operations. - Lead on the development of an annual report to demonstrate the impact of the Fund. - Provide regular updates to leadership and flag issues early to permit adaptation. - Engage with co-funders and work closely with Re:wild Philanthropy team in support of bringing other funders into the initiative and to secure match funding for projects. - Work closely with the Re:wild and co-funder marketing and communications teams on all communications products/efforts stemming from the Fund. - Liaise with IUCN Species Survival Commission and ensure their technical inputs into project design and monitoring. - Liaise with partners such as Reverse the Red to create synergies with national delivery of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework’s Goal A and Target for species recovery. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in conservation. - Extensive experience soliciting, developing, reviewing, and managing proposals. - Experience managing a large portfolio of projects. - Budget management experience. - Strong writing skills; writing summary reports and proposals. - Demonstrated ability to work with diverse local partners across the world. - Ability to work independently but also as part of a team. - Strong presentation and verbal communications skills. - Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in a relevant field preferred. - Ability to speak Spanish, French, Portuguese, or Bahasa Indonesia preferred. - Commitment to and passion for Re:wild’s mission, vision, and values. Role Description The Impact Monitoring Coordinator will lead and coordinate monitoring, data management, and impact reporting for a new grant portfolio focused on the recovery of Endangered species, ensuring credible, consistent, and actionable evidence of species recovery progress across the portfolio. The Impact Monitoring Coordinator will perform the following and other duties as assigned: - Species Assessment & Data Management - Coordinate with partners and relevant IUCN Red List Authorities (RLAs) to support regular updates to IUCN Red List and Green Status of Species assessments for all species of focus. - Work with project teams to collect, compile, and manage baseline and annual data on species status and threats. - Manage and maintain a database as the central monitoring system for the Fund’s portfolio. - Lead annual interim Green Status of Species updates to track recovery trajectories over time. - Impact Tracking & Reporting - For each species, work with local partners and the Re:wild project team to define a focused set of component indicators that reflect meaningful recovery progress. - Consolidate component indicators into clear headline indicators that enable consistent tracking at both the species and portfolio levels. - Track project progress in coordination with project partners and the Re:wild project team, including review and synthesis of semi-annual technical reports. - Maintain a public-facing impact tracking platform for the portfolio in coordination with the Marketing and Communications team. - Produce annual impact reports summarizing progress across the fund’s portfolio. - Ensure high standards of data quality, documentation, and reporting consistency across projects. - Collaborate closely with the Re:wild Priorities and Monitoring team. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in conservation. - Experience developing, supporting or implementing conservation impact monitoring systems. - Familiarity with Conservation Standards methods and IUCN species assessment frameworks (e.g. IUCN Red List, Green Status of Species) preferred. - Experience managing a relational database (Airtable experience preferred). - Strong analytical and writing skills, with experience writing summary reports and proposals. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse partners. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. - Strong communications skills. - Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a relevant field preferred. - Additional language skills preferred. - Commitment to and passion for Re:wild’s mission, vision, and values.
