Role Description We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Territory Manager to lead growth and in-store execution across Eastern Canada. This is not a desk job. Most of your time will be spent traveling within your territory, visiting stores, supporting retailer teams, working alongside distributor reps, and building the business through consistent account service and new account development. The successful candidate will manage their territory like their own business, balancing strategic account planning with strong day-to-day execution in market. Responsibilities and Duties - Drive sales growth and territory execution - Establish, develop, grow, and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers to introduce and grow both brands - Execute a territory sales plan focused on sales growth, profitability, brand development, and brand awareness - Prospect and open new independent pet specialty accounts and support onboarding, assortment, and first order execution - Present and sell in new products, seasonal programs, and promotions to drive distribution and velocity - Perform regular store visits on a consistent route schedule, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly coverage based on account tiering - Support retailers with merchandising, purchasing, replenishment planning, and in-store visibility standards - Ensure proper product placement, brand presence, and representation through staff engagement and execution at shelf - Resolve retailer issues and complaints quickly and professionally - Provide in-person and phone training to retailer teams on product benefits and how to confidently sell to the consumer - Deliver nutritional and product education that supports both Primal feeding conversations and PureBites treating recommendations - Liaise with distributor sales teams regularly to establish, service, and grow accounts - Schedule ride alongs, territory planning, and brand training sessions with distributor reps - Provide ongoing support to distributor reps to improve confidence, closing, and execution in the market - Support key accounts and regional chains within the territory through joint business planning, promotional execution, and new item launches - Prioritize accounts using an A, B, C structure based on current and potential revenue, cost to serve, and probability of success, then allocate time accordingly - Maintain accurate customer records and activity reporting using company tools and CRM - Provide input into forecasting and sales estimates to support production and inventory planning - Manage expenses within budget and submit required reporting on time - Dedicate structured time weekly for administration, reporting, planning, and internal coordination - Represent the brands at trade shows, industry events, and in-store promotional events as required - Occasionally work evenings and weekends depending on event schedule Travel Expectations - Territory coverage includes Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes - Up to 70 to 80 percent travel, including overnight stays, potentially up to four nights per week - This role requires being in stores consistently, supporting teams, and driving execution in market Qualifications - 3 to 5 years of sales experience, pet specialty or pet food experience preferred - Proven ability to build relationships, influence in store, and close new business - Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills - Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision - Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment - Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and comfortable using CRM tools - Bilingual English and French is strongly preferred, and may be required depending on territory coverage Benefits - Competitive base salary plus commission and bonus potential - Competitive Dental, Vision & Supplemental Coverage - Supportive Team Environment & Much More! - Product discounts for your pets
