• Monitor and investigate alerts across Microsoft Defender (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365) and associated security platforms • Analyze Entra ID (Azure AD) sign-in logs, audit logs, and risky sign-in activity to identify potential account compromise or misuse • Respond to security incidents involving endpoints, identities, email, and collaboration platforms • Tune and optimize detection rules, alert thresholds, and signal-to-noise ratios within SIEM and Microsoft security tools • Perform log analysis and basic threat hunting using tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender Advanced Hunting, and audit logs • Implement and validate Conditional Access policies, MFA enforcement, and identity protection controls • Support endpoint security through Intune and Defender for Endpoint, including policy enforcement, device compliance, and response actions • Collaborate with IT to harden Microsoft 365 configurations (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) and reduce attack surface • Support vulnerability management by identifying gaps and coordinating remediation across systems and endpoints • Maintain clear and audit-ready documentation of incidents, controls, and response activities • Assist with eDiscovery, audit requests, and compliance-related investigations when required • Identify gaps in monitoring, coverage, or controls and recommend improvements to security architecture
• Work with and support the firm's Director in leading and managing the local team • Become a primary point of contact for clients from retiring partners • Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for new clients • Work with the firm's executive team and Director to develop and execute the firm's growth initiatives, product, and services offering and operational strategies • Review and manage individual, business (c-corps, s-corps, and partnerships) and trust tax return engagements • Lead firm's consulting and advisory efforts in the region • Lead and manage staff in areas of research, training, and development
• Assist with the development and execution of an annual risk-based internal audit plan that aligns with the organization’s objectives and addresses key risks across operations, finance, compliance, IT, and other areas. • Plan and lead complex attest engagements including audits, reviews, and compilations from planning through reporting, ensuring engagements are conducted objectively and in adherence to standards. • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal control systems and risk management practices for clients and internally across the organization. • Identify control gaps, ineffective processes, and areas of risk exposure through audit testing and analyses. • Develop practical recommendations to strengthen governance, enhance risk management capabilities, and improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations. • Prepare comprehensive audit reports that document audit scope, findings, risks, conclusions, and recommendations. • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure engagements are carried out according to standards and organizational policies. • Consult with internal department leaders and process owners to advise on risks, controls, and opportunities for operational improvement. • Monitor implementation of internal recommendations and management action plans to remediate deficiencies. • Report on internal monitoring activities and key issues to executive leadership. • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with external auditors and regulators as required.
