Software Engineer
OutpostOutpost .Red is a tech-enabled Reddit marketing agency helping brands grow through authentic Reddit engagement. We combine a proprietary platform with real human execution to deliver results that feel native, not like ads.
Role Description We’re growing and looking for a Software Engineer who can own features end-to-end — across the full stack, from database to UI — and who are excited to build and improve the internal AI tooling that makes our team faster. This is a generalist role with a genuine opportunity to work on agentic systems and AI-assisted workflows, not a niche ML position. We're a small team competing against much larger ones, and we expect engineers to use AI tools aggressively — LLMs for code generation, debugging, documentation, and ideation. We don't care how much of the code an AI wrote. We care that you ship fast, that you understand everything you ship, and that it works. If you're not already using Cursor, Copilot, Claude, or similar tools as a core part of your workflow, this probably isn't the right fit. - Ship complete, production-ready features end-to-end: backend APIs, frontend UI, database schema, and tests. - Build and improve internal AI-powered developer tools — things like automated bug triage, code generation assistants, and agentic workflows that help the team move faster. - Integrate LLM APIs and agentic patterns (tool use, multi-step reasoning, prompt pipelines) into product features and internal systems. - Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and developer infrastructure to keep the team shipping safely and quickly. - Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to engineering standards on a small, collaborative team. - Debug and resolve production issues across the stack, including working with GCP services and containerized workloads. Qualifications - 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production software. - Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python — comfortable on both backend and frontend. - Experience with React and modern frontend frameworks (Next.js preferred). - Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and API design (REST or GraphQL). - Practical experience building with LLM APIs — you’ve shipped something with them, not just experimented. - Working knowledge of Git workflows, Docker, and containerized environments. - Strong communication skills in English — you write clearly and engage well async. Requirements - Experience with agentic architectures: tool use, agent loops, multi-step LLM pipelines, or frameworks like LangGraph or CrewAI. - CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, deployment pipelines, environment management, or infrastructure-as-code. - Familiarity with GCP (Cloud Run, GCS, Pub/Sub, BigQuery) or similar cloud platforms. - Experience with RAG systems, vector search, or embedding pipelines. - Background working alongside ML or data engineering teams. - Prior experience working in a remote, async-first environment with a US-based team. Benefits - Remote — Latin America preferred. - This role is a full-time contract position. - You’ll work closely with our core engineering team — embedded in our sprints, standups, and Slack channels — but employment is managed through the agency. - We’ve built this model successfully with engineers in Latin America, and it’s been a great fit for both sides. Senior Network & Linux Systems Engineer
OutpostOutpost .Red is a tech-enabled Reddit marketing agency helping brands grow through authentic Reddit engagement. We combine a proprietary platform with real human execution to deliver results that feel native, not like ads.
Role Description You’ll join a small but highly capable team focused on field infrastructure, working hands-on to keep our network and Linux fleet healthy as we scale. - Network operations (~40%): - Monitor and troubleshoot site networks across our yard footprint - Maintain VPN tunnels, firewall rules, and segmentation - Improve alerting so we page humans only when humans can fix the problem - Linux fleet (~40%): - Operate our edge fleet: NVIDIA Jetsons running CV inference, Ubuntu compute nodes, supporting hardware - Own remote management, drift detection, OS patching, and secure baselines - Lead the in-progress Windows-to-Linux migration and build provisioning automation that brings new sites online in hours - Automation (~20%): - Eliminate repetitive ops work — AI agents wherever possible, scripts where not - Strengthen observability for sites we can’t physically visit - Contribute to our internal IT bot for routine access and config requests This is non-negotiable: you already use AI tooling extensively in your day-to-day. You write code with Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, you delegate real work to AI agents, and you have opinions about which tools work for which tasks. Vibe coding is fine; building agentic workflows that handle ops tasks end-to-end is better. In your application, tell us which AI tools you use daily, one concrete agent or workflow you built that saved you real time, and a task you no longer do manually because you delegated it to an LLM. Applications without a substantive answer here will not move forward. Qualifications - 6–7+ years operating production Linux systems in mixed-environment fleets - Deep practical networking — packet captures, routing, DNS, layer 2 vs. 3 reasoning without consulting a textbook - Experience with edge or IoT device fleets (Jetson, Raspberry Pi, industrial PCs) - Daily, fluent use of AI coding tools and agents - Bash and Python scripting where automation is your default - English working proficiency, written and spoken Requirements - Remote/distributed site operations (logistics, telecom, retail, industrial) - Monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and Ansible - GCP networking — VPCs, Cloud VPN, Cloud Interconnect, firewall rules Benefits - Strong operators who can also reason about design — you won't whiteboard architecture from scratch, but you'll engage in design conversations as we evolve our infrastructure - Comfort working at the customer boundary — understanding how to integrate gracefully with customer networks, not just our own - A hands-on IC mindset — no team underneath you, no deep org chart, just you and your peers on the infra team. Location Remote — Latin America preferred Working Arrangements This role is a full-time contract position. You’ll work closely with our core engineering team — embedded in our sprints, standups, and Slack channels — but employment is managed through the agency. We’ve built this model successfully with engineers in Latin America, and it’s been a great fit for both sides. Outpost is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination of Any Kind.
