Role Description Otter Products is hiring for a Product Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team. This role can be based in Fort Collins, CO on a hybrid schedule or if you are not local, you can work remotely in the US. As a Product Marketing Manager you will work closely with the Product team that defines the market, creates our messaging, positioning, value proposition, go-to-market strategies and plans, competitive intelligence, and core content development for our product portfolio to support sales, channel partners and drive conversion / adoption of consumers. In this role, you are the voice of the consumer and know our buyers and users better than anyone else, including how they make their buying decisions. You will be responsible for overseeing the creation and distribution of promotional campaigns for key products. To succeed in this role you must have a keen understanding of the product’s target audience, and in-depth knowledge of relevant product features. Responsibilities - Work closely with the Product Team to develop the pricing and positioning of the products to maximize sales, selling opportunities, customer adoption, and market share. - Integrate the company’s market research and planning to co-author market requirements (MRDs). - Enable the sales organization with selling stories and pitch decks, training, and robust competitor analysis. - Create consumer messaging frameworks focused on specific pain points and differentiated value. - Drive end-to-end launch excellence in partnership with Product, Merchandising, Sales and cross-functional marketing teams – from pre-launch validation through post-launch optimization. - Synthesize meaningful consumer insights, feedback, and market data to create selling stories and influence product and go-to-market strategies. - Serve as the company’s key product marketing thought leader and secure and distill market feedback into market intelligence based on industry needs and market opportunities to influence product team strategy, the product roadmap, and the development of features and benefits. - Champion the consumer and advocate for research and insights to own the voice of the consumer and leverage the data and insights to help drive product marketing strategy. - Own the intersection of Product, Marketing and Sales, serving as the three-way conduit and Communicator-in-Chief between the departments, always ensuring high degrees of transparency and fluidity of information. - Establish and lead best-in-class product marketing frameworks, processes, and principles, including defining and driving KPIs for the team. - Develop and establish deeply collaborative cross-functional partnerships with leaders and colleagues across Product, Design, Customer Support, Channel, Sales and Marketing to enable the team and drive a consistent customer and consumer experience with Otter Box Products. - Demonstrate excellence in distilling product complexity into differentiated, compelling, memorable, simplified, and ready-to-use positioning and messaging and go-to-market strategy that drives understanding, consideration and adoption. - Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent is required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered. - Minimum of four years of experience in Product Marketing required. - Experience in product marketing with consumer goods required. - Product management experience, including conceiving, developing and driving innovative products is preferred.
