• Develop and document accounting procedures • Supervise, train, and mentor accounting team on all accounting functions • Monitor and ensure timely payment of invoices by staff • Review and perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliations (research and correct discrepancies as appropriate) • For primary smaller company, maintain books on a cash basis • For one smaller company, apply GAAP Principles to develop and maintain appropriate accounting accuracy and controls • Collaborate with technology department and management to automate accounting processes where feasible • Complete, in a timely manner, month-end and year-end financial statement close including journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliations • Work in a shared service model for several related companies • Work collaboratively with revenue/invoicing department • Work collaboratively with tax and compliance departments • Perform other related job duties as assigned • Champion company values, policies, and initiatives • Coordinate without accountants as necessary • Direct additional accounting department responsibilities such as: Property & casualty renewals, Worker’s Compensation audit, Property tax renditions, Processing 1099’s, Vendor Management policy and annual vendor reviews
• Own reconciliations across multiple entities and systems • Ensure alignment between billing, cash, and general ledger • Investigate and resolve discrepancies across systems • Maintain accurate general ledger and support month-end close • Perform cross-system reconciliations (accounting, billing, payroll, payments) • Monitor data integrity and troubleshoot system/data issues • Identify and resolve missing or misclassified transactions • Maintain balance sheet schedules and intercompany accounts • Review journal entries and support accounting workflows • Reconcile payroll, benefits, and related billing • Improve processes, controls, and documentation • Review work prepared by junior accountants • Collaborate with AR, tax, and other internal teams • Support audits, compliance reporting, and insurance renewals • Create and maintain written procedures
• Maintain client and advisor relationships with a high active client retention rate • Maintain a caseload of PEP and 402(a) solution clients • Manage and prioritize workload towards weekly goals in a results-oriented team environment • Exemplify superior client service and ability to consult with clients regarding plan operation and design • Work with other departments, record-keepers, and advisors to ensure a great client experience • Perform work according to AMP and Nova policies and procedures • Proactively communicate with clients and investment advisors about new industry developments
• Maintaining client and advisor relationships with a high client retention rate • Maintaining a caseload of about 90 – 110 full-service partner level clients • Managing and prioritizing workload towards weekly goals in a results-oriented team environment • Working with other TPAs, recordkeepers, and advisors to ensure a great client experience • Performing work according to AFS policies and procedures • Consulting with clients regarding plan operation and design • Identifying and assisting in resolving issues related to plan administration • Monitoring recordkeeper message boards • Monitoring notice deadlines and ensuring notices are distributed timely • Reviewing and approving participant transactions • Reviewing annual non-discrimination testing • Reviewing and electronically filing the Form 5500 and other government forms

The Asset Transfer Specialist manages the conversion process for employer-sponsored retirement plans. This role will oversee the transition of plan assets, participant data, and investment mapping. This role requires high-level project management to ensure the plan assets transfer timely and satisfies all statutory guidelines. - Assist plan sponsors with asset transfer process for plans conversions, acting as the primary liaison between the plan sponsor (employer), prior recordkeeper, new recordkeeper, and internal teams. - Execute asset transfers between recordkeepers and/or brokerage firms and ensure participant census data is accurately mapped from the prior provider's system to the new platform. - Review and draft required notices to comply with ERISA and IRS standards. - Coordinate the transfer timeline to ensure all deadlines are met to minimize disruption to the client. - Partner with investment advisors to facilitate fund-to-fund mapping, ensuring that assets are moved into the correct new investment vehicles upon arrival. - Identify and resolve systemic transfer-related issues at the plan level. - Provide assistance with other ongoing projects as needed, supporting the team and helping to ensure smooth operations.
