• Provide support in the areas of export controls, research conflict of interest, and research security. • Identify, analyze, track, and communicate new and emerging federal, state, and sponsor research security legislation, policies, requirements, and resources. • Interpret complex regulatory guidance and provide clear recommendations to University leadership, researchers, and staff. • Facilitate compliance with federal, state, sponsor, and institutional requirements. • Provide high-level support related to research security, export controls and research conflict of interest aspects of sponsored projects. • Conduct initial reviews of international outside activities and agreements to assess research security and compliance considerations. • Conduct reviews of travel disclosures and provide briefings as needed. • Support the development, revision, and implementation of University policies, guidance documents, and resources. • Develop educational materials and provide outreach, training, and advisory support to researchers and staff to promote awareness and compliance. • Serve as a subject matter expert and advise internal stakeholders on mitigation and best practices. • Provide program management for sponsored projects, including coordinating project activities, engaging stakeholders, supporting recruitment efforts, and developing reports, products, and resources. • Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic regulatory environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• Define, manage, and execute the product roadmap for the University’s electronic Research Administration systems, prioritizing enhancements and feature releases that streamline workflows and reduce administrative burden. • Serve as the primary liaison between Notre Dame Research Administration and Compliance, Campus IT, and third-party software vendors to advocate for institutional needs and influence product development. • Lead system governance and integration strategy for research administration platforms, ensuring effective data exchange between eRA systems, HRIS, ERP, and other enterprise applications. • Oversee research data governance practices to establish consistent standards, improve data quality, and support reliable institutional reporting and analytics. • Configure and maintain system validations and workflows to support evolving federal regulations and sponsor requirements, including NSF, NIH, USDA, and other compliance standards. • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced reporting capabilities. • Develop and maintain system documentation, business processes, and training materials to support successful adoption of system enhancements and transitions. • Lead “train-the-trainer” initiatives and support change management efforts across the research community. • Monitor system performance, user feedback, and emerging industry trends to inform continuous improvement efforts. • Support reporting and data visualization activities to translate research administration data into actionable insights for leadership decision-making. • Support audit readiness activities by ensuring accurate system configurations, data integrity, and compliance documentation. • Participate in vendor user groups, professional organizations, and research administration communities to stay informed on best practices and emerging technologies.

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Justice Education for the Institute for Social Concerns, the Justice Education Program Manager will lead the daily operational and administrative tasks for several justice education programs, as well as provide support for Institute initiatives and events. This position works independently to guide justice education program administration, immersive learning coordination, management and development of community/site host partnerships, and co-curricular program support. This is a full-time, 12-month position. This position plays an essential role in the development and execution of the Institute’s justice education strategy. The position will assist in the development and growth of programs as needed. The position may permit up to one day per week of remote work, in accord with the Institute policies and scheduling after the first 90 days.
