As a member of the Finance / Accounting Team, the Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for performing various accounting functions, financial analysis, and other ad-hoc tasks to support management. Job Tasks: • Assist with DVM Labor Analyses for VP of Accounting and CFO • Prepare month-end close related journal entries • Develop and implement accounting/analysis procedures by examining current procedures, recommending changes • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations including transactions from up to 5 payroll systems • Prepare and book intercompany journal entries • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations • Prepare yearly audit schedules for external auditors • Assist with maintenance and preparation of DVM production accruals • Assist with maintenance and preparation of MDVM Leadership Fee schedules • Assist in other ad-hoc analysis or analytics as needed • Occasional overtime may be required, particularly during month-end close and audit periods Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics, or a Bachelor’s degree in Business with emphasis in Accounting/Finance required • 4+ years’ experience in accounting or related field • Experience working in a large corporate environment or similarly complex organizational structure • Intermediate understanding of GAAP • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, nested functions, data validation, and large dataset manipulation • Extensive experience working with high-volume, complex financial data—ability to organize, analyze, and draw insights from large and dynamic data sets efficiently and accurately • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders Preferred Qualifications • CPA, MBA, or equivalent • Mix of private and public experience • Strong organizational and analytical skills • Self-motivated problem solver with strong attention to detail Personality and Interpersonal Skills • Exceptional customer service skills • Strong initiative and willingness to learn in a demanding environment • Cheerful outlook and excellent interpersonal skills • Team player Compensation: The salary range is between $90,000-110,000.
