Role Description Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Manager, Human Resources is responsible for proactively providing operational leadership for the organization’s human resources function. The Senior Manager oversees key HR areas including: - Talent management - Employee relations - Performance management - Benefits and compliance This position also manages HR policies and programs, administers payroll, ensures adherence to employment laws and company policies, and executes on initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and growth-focused workplace. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a growth-oriented mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and development. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline; minimum of 5 years experience - Experience with ADP Workforce Now required - In-depth knowledge of multi-state payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements - Strong understanding of employment law, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices - Experience working independently for a remote organization - Growth mindset with the ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and continuously develop new skills - Ability to partner with business leaders to drive compliance and new HR related projects forward - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll and administering benefits - Excellent written and oral communication and presentations skills, with the ability to interface with audiences of all levels throughout the organization - Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Suite - Ability to effectively manage competing priorities - Solid judgment and ensures integrity, compliance, and confidentiality - Facilitate positive working relationships and accountability across the business - Passionate about creating a positive employee experience - SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional Human Resources credential a plus Requirements - Manage the full cycle recruitment process from candidate engagement to offer extension and onboarding - Administer background and reference checks, obtain new hire paperwork, I-9 verification - Monitor compliance of all required trainings in accordance with federal, state and local laws - Collaborate with internal IT to ensure equipment and various accounts are setup - Manage the offboarding process including IT equipment returns and terminating system access - Serve as a key liaison with benefit providers and reconcile monthly benefit statements - Accurately maintain HRIS including ensuring integrity of personnel records - Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives - Maintain and update job descriptions and organizational chart - Respond to HR related inquiries from employees - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR - Collaborate with executive leadership to identify talent needs, risks and gaps - Manage relationship with outsourced HRIS vendor for payroll processing - Partner with HRIS vendor for required federal, state and local filings - Collect and verify timekeeping information for hourly employees - Track monthly health benefits eligibility and ensure employee deductions are taken from payroll - Ensure all 401K retirement plan contributions are made accurately and timely - Obtain, audit, and distribute annual employee tax statements - Provide support to employees and managers on performance, behavior, and interpersonal issues - Support the development and implementation of training programs and performance management systems - Oversee benefits programs and manage employee benefits enrollment - Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned Benefits - Healthcare - COBRA - FMLA/PFL - Life insurance - Disability - 401K Retirement Plan - FSA programs
