• Conduct first-principles scientific and technical analysis to formulate hypotheses for remote sensing electro-optical and infrared imagery data applications and novel use cases. • Perform feasibility studies, literature reviews, and trade studies to support development of early-stage mission and data concepts. • Analyze and manipulate pixel-level geospatial and spectral datasets to extract unique insights and validate new mission concepts. • Develop and generate prototype electro-optical and infrared imagery products and sample intelligence products that demonstrate unique capabilities of Muon’s systems. • Support customer discovery and engagement efforts, translating operational pain points and needs into technical requirements and derived data solutions. • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, business development, and engineering teams to identify and develop new markets, products, and technologies. • Support creation of technical proposals and white papers that articulate the differentiation and mission utility of Muon’s offerings.

• Drive growth by owning the end-to-end commercial business capture process. • Lead customer discovery and lead generation activities to identify new opportunities. • Collaborate across teams, including Mission Engineering and Product, to deliver integrated solutions for customers. • Manage active pipeline opportunities, facilitating increased deal velocity through cross-functional collaboration with Mission Architecture teams. • Implement qualification criteria and price estimation frameworks for "standard" deals to reduce friction from pursuit review to ROM pricing. • Deliver market sizing reports and customer discovery insights for "next generation" verticals. • Oversee deal closure and ensure the transition from pre-sales to execution is seamless.
• Complete on-orbit geometric calibration of new FireSat satellites during the commissioning phase. • Design and implement geometric calibration of multispectral infrared imagery from Muon's infrared missions, including camera geometry modeling and geolocation calibration. • Develop and implement geolocation calibration algorithms to validate and correct on-orbit pointing knowledge. • Continuously improve geospatial processing algorithms including bundle adjustment, orthorectification, and atmospheric corrections. • Research and develop metrics for and improvements to geometric accuracy, image registration, and spatial data quality. • Implement and operate production pipelines for geometric calibration and geospatial data processing. • Write production-ready code. • Work cross-functionally within the team and across Muon to design, build, and maintain operational services from Muon's core remote sensing missions. • Learn new topics as needed (measurement techniques, geospatial data engineering, software engineering, customer domain-specific implications).
• Lead customer focussed collection planning, schedule deconfliction, and reporting activities within the Satellite Operations Team • Ensure timely data collection and delivery across Muon’s missions according to customer requirements • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure appropriate prioritization of collection activities • Development of standard collection planning, performance monitoring, and reporting processes that scale across Muon’s current and future missions • Perform capacity planning for the Customer Operations team and develop onboarding and training programs for future hires • Ensure customer inquiries are addressed accurately and according to the required response time
• Lead a multidisciplinary aerospace development effort, driving day-to-day execution of the program • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to plan and coordinate the resources necessary to execute the program • Synchronize a diverse technical team by establishing tools, practices, and process • Participate in technical discussions, ask probing questions, and work with the team to pull together scoping, schedules, and solutions to issues • Track and report program metrics on schedule, resource, cost, risk, and technical performance • Serve as the face of the company to customers, subcontractors and suppliers
• Develop and run the processing pipelines in Muon’s cloud infrastructure that deliver data from FireSat to federal customers. • Manage the collection, processing, and delivery of data products to current customers. • Product owner for imagery data products from FireSat for federal customers. • Product owner for National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF) file formatting. • Write production-ready code for product processing and delivery pipelines. • Work closely with Muon’s BD team and federal end-users to clarify customer needs. • Perform experimental analysis exploring new uses of these data for federal customer use-cases. • Cross-functional work with Muon teams in software, systems engineering, instrument engineering, operations, and program management to ensure the success of • Ensure the product quality, quantitative validation, and scientific integrity of Muon’s data products and services are of the highest quality.
• Design and implement radiometric calibration and image processing of the multispectral infrared imagery from Muon’s FireSat mission. • Research and development to improve foundational data calibration and processing. • Implement and operate production pipelines for calibration and data processing. • Write production-ready code. • Work cross functionally within the team and across Muon to design, build, and maintain operational services from Muon’s core remote sensing missions • Learn new topics as needed (measurement techniques, geospatial data engineering, software engineering, customer domain-specific implications)
• Develop a complete mission concept based on customer needs • Perform mission-level analysis and own all top-level mission budgets • Requirements definition and design for the mission and a variety of RF and optical instruments • Leverage software tools and/or writing code to explore engineering trade studies and answer system design questions • Understands key metrics and design trades for optical and RF instruments, and can work effectively with Muon’s instrument design team • Perform spacecraft performance and constellation configuration evaluation • Collaborate with other discipline engineers and scientists to ensure the product meets objectives
• Integral member of the team defining and building Muon’s satellite bus platform • Translate concepts and requirements into design and working implementations, supporting through to on-orbit operations • Design, bring up, and support the embedded software environment that runs in our satellite flight systems and peripherals using ARM Cortex-M CPUs. • Participate in evaluating and selecting technologies for our software foundation • Write application, platform, and driver functionality in our flight software environment and teach others how to use it • Integrate compute and peripheral subsystems in both software and hardware • Collaborate with hardware team members on the design and bring up of Muon hardware • Collaborate with software team members to set flight software architecture, select infrastructure and tools, and communicate with cloud backends. • Participate in developing software and hardware-in-the-loop test strategies
