The Litigation Assistant will work as part of a cohesive administrative team to support Partner and Associate Attorneys in our litigation practice. This is a remote position, however, candidates must reside in the Pacific Time Zone. Sampling of Responsibilities: - Prepare, organize, index, develop, and manage relevant data including electronic court filings, and evidence. - Assist with and organize voluminous discovery projects. - Maintain complex calendars. - Handle and draft professional correspondence.  - Review preliminary invoices.  - Coordinate travel arrangements.  - Answer phones and act as contact to internal and external customers.  - Intake new cases. - Collaborate and support the team to provide responsive customer service. - Perform other administrative tasks as assigned. Skills & Qualifications: - Litigation experience, required. - Associate Degree or equivalent training/work experience, required. - 5+ years of legal administrative litigation support experience within a legal department or law firm or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience with professional services billing systems. - ProLaw experience, a plus. - Experience with document management systems and best practices, strongly desired. - Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. - Experience with eDiscovery, a plus. - Strong typing skills. - Effective time management and high level of attention to detail skills to balance the workload of Partner and Associate attorneys and efficiently prioritize requests. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills; can collaborate with all levels of staff both orally and in writing. - Good analytical skills. - Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. - Ability to represent a positive and professional image. - Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Outlook for calendaring meetings, events, etc. Ability to learn and use other applications may be necessary, such as ProLaw. - Proven ability to schedule meetings and conference calls with multiple parties and arrange travel. - Advanced level of knowledge of legal terminology. - Strong skills to research and problem-solve to obtain information or data from various sources and materials and organize with excellent attention to detail into a comprehensive package. - Demonstrated knowledge of filing and record tracking systems, both paper and electronic. - Ability to use high level of discretion and maintain all attorney-client confidentiality. - Working knowledge of legal process, protocols and procedures. - Ability to multi-task within demanding time frames despite interruptions. In this role, the attorney will work in a highly collaborative, team environment to provide legal counsel to organizations investigating and responding to data privacy and cybersecurity incidents. Associates will collect information needed to understand the issue and scope of each situation, engage and direct experts needed to appropriately investigate and respond to the event, and communicate to regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and other third-parties as needed while advising clients throughout the investigation. Due to the unpredictable nature of cybersecurity events, all Partners and Associates participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide crisis management support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have membership in good standing to the Pennsylvania Bar, a curiosity to learn more about cybersecurity law, and an enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude. Exceptional analytic, writing, communication, and preparation skills, plus focused attention to detail are key to performing well in our highly responsive environment. Candidates should demonstrate initiative and the ability to independently maintain their own caseload. We are currently looking for attorneys who generally bring 1 to 8 years of experience, with preference given to those who have worked in private practices within data privacy, healthcare, and regulatory compliance. Due to the unpredictable nature of cybersecurity events, all Partners and Associates participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide crisis management support to our clients that requires limited availability outside normal business hours. The ideal candidate will have membership in good standing to a state Bar, experience with cybersecurity law, and an enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude.
