Member Solutions Counselor Hybrid Remote • Southfield, MI • Member Solutions Full-time Member Solutions Counselor, Southfield, MI (Hybrid if local/Remote if Not) Do you enjoy helping people who have fallen on hard times? In the Member Solutions Counselor role, You'll be responsible for: - Keeping open lines of communication with delinquent members for early intervention counseling. - Working closely with investor credit unions and maintaining positive working relationships with their collection staff. - Using your problem-solving abilities to tackle any issues head-on, keeping all parties informed as necessary as you work toward resolutions. - Making daily outbound calls to review members' financial status and develop workable repayment arrangements. You'll have the opportunity to: - Be creative in your approach to developing appropriate resolutions that meet the requirements of all parties involved. - Communicate effectively to convey options to members. - Confidently make quick decisions. - Use sympathy to deescalate situations swiftly. - Display your grit and perseverance during challenging situations. You'll have: - A minimum of 1 year of collections or customer service experience. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent organizational skills, aiding your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and deadline-driven environment. - Working knowledge of FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae and loss mitigation guidelines. If so, the Foreclosure Specialist role may be a great fit for you! In the Foreclosure Specialist role, you'll be: - Assisting counselors in preventing and reducing delinquency through effective communication with members via phone and email. - Effectively communicating with foreclosure attorneys, investors, and credit unions to determine liquidation strategies . - Processing loans through the entire foreclosure process, from referral to eviction. - Filing reimbursement claims to recover foreclosure expenses, and determining and managing recoverability of legal fees and costs. - Processing loans through the full bankruptcy process. You'll have the opportunity to: - Share best practices and experiences to improve processes and increase productivity. - Solve problems by using your analytical and organizational skills to predict and resolve issues. - Collaborate with direct members of a team, as well as others within the organization. You'll have: - Extensive knowledge of: foreclosure process, out of state foreclosure proceedings, FNMA/FHLMC required foreclosure guidelines, 571 claims, PMI claims, HUD, REO, and investor guidelines. - Knowledge of all Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and private mortgage insurance requirements. - Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and deadline-driven environment. - Superb follow up skills.
