Role Description This is an 8-month maternity leave contract, with the possibility of extending depending on business needs. Canada-based remote role. PST time zone required. We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (contract) to provide coverage during an 8-month maternity leave. The successful candidate will step seamlessly into a full-cycle accounting role, responsible for month-end close, variance analysis, and FP&A deliverables. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities - Financial Reporting & Month-End Close - Perform detailed variance analysis comparing actuals vs. budget and actuals vs. prior month; investigate key drivers and prepare clear explanations for management. - Prepare and present monthly variance analysis to the Finance team, highlighting key trends and material variances. - Prepare supporting schedules and perform balance sheet account reconciliations. - Post month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, payroll entries, and cost of goods sold allocation entries. - Reconcile and post credit card transactions. - Post expense reclassifications and adjustments as required. - Payroll - Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing. - Post all payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts. - Prepare and file quarterly payroll remittances, including EHT and WCB filings. - FP&A - Perform FP&A tasks including churn analysis and other business performance metrics. - Provide insights into financial trends, revenue changes, and expense fluctuations. - Other Responsibilities - Provide support and guidance to the Staff Accountant, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules as needed. - Other ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks as required. Qualifications - CPA designation (or equivalent) preferred. - 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level role. - Demonstrated experience with full-cycle month-end close including variance analysis. - Advanced Excel skills (required): must be comfortable working in large, multi-tab workbooks and maintaining formula integrity for audit purposes. - Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial findings. - Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (preferred), including journal entries, bank/credit card reconciliations, and supporting month-end close in a multi-currency environment. - Highly motivated, detail-oriented team player who works well under pressure and can meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to work independently with limited supervision or within a team environment. - Experience working remotely is preferred. Requirements - Duration: 8 months (maternity leave coverage) with possibility of extension. - Start date: May 25, 2026. - Rate: CAD $6500 - $8000 per month. - Phone bill reimbursement. The Role We are hiring our first Senior Growth Marketing Lead to design, build, and operate Force Fleet’s growth function. You will own the full growth funnel, from acquisition to activation to lifecycle engagement, and move quickly to launch experiments that drive measurable revenue impact. This is a builder role, not a coordinator or management role. You will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer and have immediate ownership of a meaningful growth budget to test and scale initiatives. Build the Growth Engine Design and operate Force Fleet’s modern growth system. This includes: - High-intent customer acquisition - Funnel conversion optimization - Post-onboarding user activation - Lifecycle engagement and retention You will design, launch, and test experiments, and scale the ones that work. 2. Run Rapid Growth Experiments We expect this role to move fast inside of the organization. Examples of experiments you may run: - Landing page experiments - Messaging tests - Funnel conversion optimization - Lifecycle engagement campaigns - New acquisition channels - Product-led growth initiatives Success in this role means running continuous experiments and learning quickly. 3. Operate a Modern AI-Powered Growth Stack We expect this role to leverage modern tools to accelerate execution. You will also have the autonomy to introduce and implement new tools that improve speed and efficiency. Everything is on the table. Current MarTech stack includes: - HubSpot - Intercom - ChatGPT - Claude - Lovable 4. Own the Lifecycle Experience Growth doesn’t stop at acquisition. You will work collaboratively with the product team to design and improve: - New user activation campaigns - Customer education and feature release campaigns - Re-engagement campaigns - Product adoption messaging Goal: increase activation, engagement, and expansion revenue. 5. Co-Manage the SEO & Content Engine You will work with our external SEO/content agency to ensure that content strategy supports growth objectives. Responsibilities include: - Prioritizing topics and content strategy - Tracking organic traffic growth performance - Aligning content with high-intent acquisition goals What Success Looks Like Success in this role means building and operating a modern growth engine that consistently improves how Force Fleet attracts, activates, and retains customers. • Contribute to the functionality of a leading LTE Dashcam product in C/C++ from connectivity through to video pipelines. • Vendor Interfacing: Collaborate with vendor hardware/software teams to submit patches and resolve issues. • Customer Issue Management: Implement and debug firmware-related issue tickets from customer-reported and internal-reported issues promptly, providing effective troubleshooting, technical support, and resolution. • Drive key stability and functionality for the product and technical teams, and then move to maintenance and ongoing issue resolution. Initially work in a concentrated time window mode and then transition over time to a supporting part-time role.
