Engineering Manager Location: Remote (Europe & LATAM) Team: Engineering At Mixmax, we’re building AI-enabled workflows that help revenue teams do their best work - faster, smarter, and more human. We’re taking on bigger, more complex customer problems, and we’re hiring an Engineering Manager to lead that next chapter. You’ll lead two distributed product teams across Europe and LATAM, partnering closely with Product & Design to ship faster, raise technical quality, and drive clear customer impact. Clear plans with dates and owners, steady demos, and early risk calls — no heroics. - Clarity for the team. Everyone knows what matters now vs next; you bring crisp communication and reduce noise. - Early customer impact. Ship improvements customers can feel, and make the “why” behind the work obvious. - Technical leadership. Set clear quality bars, Make architecture legible upfront to keep delivery fast and safe and partner with Staff/Senior ICs to simplify where it helps and avoid late surprises. - People leadership. Set expectations, coach thoughtfully, and form clear views on performance and growth. In your first 6 months - Predictability without drama. We hit dates or renegotiate early; scope is cut/sequenced with good judgement. - Talent density up. You help a senior IC stretch into more ownership and/or hire exceptionally. - Simpler systems. Sensible technical decisions and at least one simplification the team feels week-to-week. - Customer outcomes. Clear stories that tie shipped work to real value. 💼 Day to day, you will - Own execution. Run plans with dates/owners/risks; make trade-offs early; keep delivery calm and fast. - Provide technical oversight. Challenge designs, insist on early rationale, name approvers, and verify when something feels risky (you don’t need to code daily, but you know what “good” looks like). - Be product-first. Start from the why; co-own outcomes with PM/Design and keep decisions legible. - Raise the bar. Keep PR quality high without drag; coach patterns, not just tickets. - Coach & hire. Grow people with clear expectations and feedback; hire great engineers and onboard them well. - Align across teams. • You’ll operate in a dual mandate: part of your time will be spent deeply embedded in a product team, driving design, delivery, and technical excellence; the rest will be spent working at the company level, partnering with the other Staff Engineer to shape Mixmax’s technical strategy and culture. • Together, you’ll form the most senior technical voice in the company, reporting directly to the Director of Engineering. • Be the senior technical voice in your team: design, review, mentor, and help deliver major features at high quality. • Partner with the other Staff Engineers to drive cross-company technical strategy, architectural standards, and engineering culture. • Own cross-cutting initiatives: scalability, reliability, developer experience, system evolution. • Define, evangelize, and maintain lightweight guardrails (RFCs, ADRs, patterns etc) that scale with our team. • Work alongside PMs, Designers, and Engineering leadership to align on direction, push back when needed, and ensure architecture enables (not constrains) product goals. • Raise the bar on quality, mentoring engineers, and contributing to how we work, review, and make decisions. • Own your impact. At this level, you’ll define what success looks like: spotting high-leverage opportunities, setting your own direction, and making tangible improvements that strengthen how we build, ship, and collaborate.

Mixmax is the #1 product helping Revenue teams to become automatically proactive by eliminating busywork for a flawless customer experience The Opportunity We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who wants high ownership: leading projects end-to-end, improving how services are built and operated, and creating paved paths that reduce toil across engineering. This role can be based in LATAM or Europe. We cannot hire in the USA for this position. Within your first few months, you'll: Ship meaningful improvements to our infrastructure, reliability and developer experience Take ownership of key platform areas and processes Partner with product engineers to understand pain points, unblock delivery, and raise standards and improve how we operate Preferred skills and background: Strong experience with TypeScript/Node.js and AWS Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) Experience operating and supporting the systems you build, not just shipping and moving on Clear written communication. We're a distributed team, and documentation matters It's also awesome (but not required) for you to have: Experience with MongoDB, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, or Redis/Valkey Familiarity with observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Datadog, etc.) Experience building internal platforms or developer tools Familiarity with microservices / event-driven / serverless architectures Experience with networking (DNS, load balancing, VPCs, etc.) How we work We’re a globally distributed team. We default to asynchronous communication, keep meetings lightweight, and rely on strong written docs to stay aligned. Our core stack is Node.js/TypeScript, React, MongoDB, and AWS.
