Title: Senior Systems Administrator Location: US Remote Job Description: Mission Critical Partners is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support a fully cloud-based IT environment serving approximately 200 users across a diverse portfolio of SaaS platforms. This role provides technical leadership and hands-on administration across Microsoft 365 GCC, Azure/Entra ID, and related cloud services, with a strong emphasis on security monitoring, identity management, endpoint management, automation, and compliance alignment (NIST). The ideal candidate is highly self-directed, capable of independently owning infrastructure and security operations, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. This individual will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable systems while driving operational improvements and mentoring junior staff. The role requires a professional committed to success by embracing and living our core values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, Accountability, and Prudence LOCATION - Remote RESPONSIBILITIES Cloud Infrastructure & Identity Management - Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 GCC, Azure/Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and other enterprise SaaS platforms - Manage identity and access controls, including Conditional Access, MFA, privileged access, RBAC, and identity lifecycle management - Maintain and improve endpoint management, device compliance, and mobile device management using Microsoft Intune or equivalent platforms - Configure and maintain cloud-based collaboration, storage, and communication services - Support tenant administration, licensing, and policy management across Microsoft cloud environments Security Operations & Compliance - Monitor, investigate, and respond to alerts across Microsoft Defender and related security platforms - Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls aligned with NIST and organizational security policies - Support vulnerability management, endpoint protection, patch management, and security hardening initiatives - Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, remediation efforts, and post-incident reviews - Assist with audit readiness, compliance reporting, and evidence collection activities Systems Administration & Operations - Ensure availability, performance, reliability, and scalability of cloud-based systems and services - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalations, and service interruptions - Administer system configurations, updates, patching, and platform maintenance activities - Support onboarding/offboarding processes from a systems, licensing, and access management perspective - Maintain backup, recovery, and business continuity procedures for cloud services and critical systems - Monitor system health, performance metrics, and operational alerts to proactively address issues Automation & Continuous Improvement - Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort - Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and infrastructure modernization - Recommend and implement enhancements to systems architecture, security posture, and operational workflows - Maintain and improve technical documentation, procedures, and configuration standards Team Collaboration & Technical Leadership - Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to junior IT staff - Collaborate with leadership on strategic technology initiatives, system improvements, and long-term infrastructure planning - Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to support operational and security objectives - Participate in cross-functional projects and enterprise technology deployments SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: - This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Role Description As an ASAP Implementation Specialist, the individual will coordinate, implement and support the Automated System Alarm Protocol (ASAP) interface to Emergency Call Centers (ECCs. - Implementation and support for ASAP service interfacing to ECCs. - Project management, including coordinating project schedules, milestones, and testing activities while actively managing deadlines to ensure timely delivery of ASAP implementation projects and keeping all internal and external tasks on time. - Collaborate with third-party implementation partners, such as Nlets, internal resources, CAD vendors, and ECCs (Public Safety Answering Points - PSAPs), and alarm monitoring centers to plan and execute the implementation and support of the ASAP solution. - Ability to review address/GIS data for varying data set comparisons and document inconsistencies. - Ensure that all implementations comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices. - Assure quality of project deliverables and client satisfaction. - Promote positive, long-term and meaningful client relations through quality deliverables and customer satisfaction. - Meet key performance goals and expectations as defined by management. - Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call support rotation, providing timely response to operational incidents, system issues, and customer escalations. - Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
