The product management team is responsible for overseeing the development and success of the company’s products. We function as the fulcrum balancing customer needs with Lexipol’s growth objectives. Lexipol is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, positioning, and lifecycle management of our learning and content product portfolio. This is a senior leadership role that sits at the intersection of market strategy, product vision, and organizational execution. You will be accountable for driving portfolio-level growth and ensuring our products deliver measurable outcomes for public safety organizations across the country. You will lead and develop a team of product managers and technical product owners, setting the standard for product excellence across the organization. This role requires someone who can operate confidently at the executive level — shaping strategy, influencing stakeholders, and building the organizational capability needed to deliver market-leading products. You will report to the VP of Product Management and serve as a key voice in product leadership conversations across the company. This is done through working in these areas of focus: Product Strategy & Market Leadership - Define and own the multi-year product portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives, evolving market dynamics, and customer needs in the public safety sector. - Lead competitive intelligence, market segmentation, and customer research programs to identify whitespace opportunities and inform strategic positioning. - Develop product positioning and messaging frameworks in partnership with product marketing to ensure differentiated market presence. - Drive pricing strategy across the product portfolio, balancing revenue growth, profitability, and competitive positioning, with recommendations delivered to executive leadership. Team Leadership & Organizational Development - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers and technical product owners, establishing a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, customer obsession, and continuous learning. - Define and uphold standards for product management craft across the team — from discovery and requirements to delivery and measurement. - Build team capacity and capability to scale with the organization’s growth, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management. - Serve as a cross-functional leader who aligns engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success around shared goals and priorities. Portfolio Roadmap & Prioritization - Own the strategic product roadmap across the learning portfolio, driving prioritization decisions that balance near-term revenue impact with long-term competitive positioning. - Establish and govern a rigorous framework for opportunity assessment, business case development, and ROI measurement for new product investments. - Identify and develop organic growth opportunities, including adjacent market expansion, new buyer segments, and platform extensions. - Support M&A evaluation and integration as a subject matter expert on product portfolio fit and capability gaps. Product Development Oversight - Partner with engineering and design leadership to ensure effective end-to-end product development, from discovery through launch and iteration. - Establish standards for requirements definition, user story quality, and acceptance criteria across the product team. - Oversee alpha, beta, and pilot programs for new products and features, ensuring structured learning and feedback loops. - Define and govern the KPI framework for portfolio performance, product adoption, and customer outcomes. Go-to-Market & Revenue Execution - Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success to develop and execute go-to-market plans that drive new sales, expansions, and renewals. - Guide the sales and customer success teams on product positioning, competitive differentiation, and customer value narratives. - Align product launches and roadmap communications to revenue targets and customer satisfaction metrics. Requirements: - Minimum of 7 to 10 years of recent SaaS Product Management experience. - Demonstrated track record of defining and executing portfolio-level product strategy for B2B or B2G SaaS products. - Proven experience in pricing strategy, product positioning, and competitive analysis in a dynamic market. - Experience in EdTech or GovTech product environments. - Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to C-suite and board-level stakeholders. - Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to build business cases, define KPI frameworks, and translate data into strategic recommendations. - Deep experience in Agile/Scrum product development methodologies and product management tooling. - Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and scale high-performance product teams. - Experience integrating AI capabilities into product strategy and/or technology products. - MBA preferred. This role is primarily a writing role, to include drafting, reviewing, revising, and editing training content. This is done through working in these areas of focus: Retained Client Account Management (50%) - Manage and fulfill contracted retainer grant subscription services under the GrantWriter and GrantManager programs. - Manage and fulfill one-time grant writing service contracts - Coordinate setup and administration of GrantFinder subscriptions for retained clients. - Support included grant writing and research services, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. - Review and interpret funding opportunity announcements to identify applicable grants for clients. - Assist with consult calls for prospective departments, offering recommendations and guidance. - Manage onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing support for Retainer Services clients. - Provide research and documentation support to ensure contract deliverables are met.
