Role Description The Account Executive position is responsible for developing and generating new business opportunities for Karmak. The position also plays a pivotal role in retaining and growing existing customer relationships. It maintains key relationships and closes new deals by working directly with c-level executives. - Meets with c-level executives to understand their business goals, identify operational pains, and recognize new business opportunities. - Delivers high level presentations to new and existing customers regarding Karmak's solutions. - Conducts weekly cold calls via phone and face-to-face visits to c-level prospects to generate new leads, positive references, and sales opportunities. - Develops and maintains ongoing, long-term consultative relationships with existing customers to seek out new opportunities. - Communicates and sells the value of Karmak solutions; not price. - Meets or exceeds annual assigned sales quotas as directed by the VP of Sales, along with developing an accurate forecast of future sales results. - Communicates prospect and customer activity to the appropriate channels, and records all daily activity in the company's CRM system. - Submits all expense reports with expense detail within a timely manner to the accounting department. - Works closely with sales enablement and marketing personnel to develop strategies, lead generation, and sales tools. - Works closely with the Director of Sales to negotiate deals to closure. - Works in tandem with various departments within Karmak, from the demo team to implementation to support, while following a disciplined and process-oriented approach. - Travels <= 50% of the time within assigned territory, via plane or car, with trips to the headquarters office as required. - Communicates software development issues as relayed by customers and prospects. - Attends and contributes in all sales meeting discussions and trainings. Qualifications - 6+ years of relevant experience. - Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline preferred. - Ability to maintain positive client relationships in order to negotiate and close deals. - Strong track record of closing new business opportunities and growing sales pipeline to develop territory. - Expert knowledge of sales processes, including cold calling and gaining access to c-level executives. - Experience selling software or SAAS. - A working knowledge of how to identify business pain points to negotiate and close deals. - Ability to understand complex business challenges and present targeted solutions. - Requires excellent presentation and communication skills - both written and verbal in order to close deals. - Must be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Requirements - Experience with B2B selling and new business development. - Experience and knowledge of the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry. - Experience selling technology. - Experience using consultative solution selling to align the customer's business needs with a Karmak solution. This position is responsible for successfully negotiating and facilitating branch-add and merger & acquisition deal structure with existing customers, discovering areas of opportunity, and closing sales via web and phone. He/she will also learn and be responsible for providing third party sales support and associated tasks. Essential Job Functions - Drive revenue growth from customer branch-add and M&A opportunities. - Partner with the deal desk on complex opportunities to structure complex deals. - Collaborate with and provide insights to the Client Succes Managers when interacting with customers. - Proactively create and update opportunities and tasks in Salesforce, manage pipeline, track progress and close deals via phone and online meeting environments. - Escalate customer challenges and risks to head of Customer Success and VP of Sales when needed. - Learn and support third party sales opportunities and tasks under supervision and provide backup support as needed. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Proven experience in inside sales, customer success, or other customer service roles. - Demonstrated history of successfully meeting sales quotas virtually. - Strong Salesforce experience. Experience with Pardot and SF Engage is a plus. - Excellent communication and people skills. - Clear, confident speaking voice with the ability to develop quick, friendly rapport with customers. - Patience, persistence, and persuasiveness. - Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints. - Project management experience. - A bachelor's degree is a plus.
