• Perform regularly scheduled qualifying, surveillance, and sampling inspections, both on-site, in-plant, or remotely, as assigned by the department. • Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships to ensure ICC-ES is respected as a partner. • Ensure all applicable company and department procedures are consistently followed in the execution of inspection jobs. • Continually monitor each client’s implementation of approved quality systems and ensure compliance with stated requirements, including review of incoming materials, material specifications, ongoing or quality control testing requirements stated in the quality manual, and final inspection and labeling of product. • Continually evaluate and communicate the status of each client’s quality system to ICC-ES or the agency assigning the inspection. • Assist in scheduling factory audits and product sampling throughout the year to support efficient operation. • Ensure economical travel by planning in advance and communicating challenges to the manager, supervisor, or coordinator when needed. • Review and monitor travel expenses to ensure they meet company objectives; contact the manager with questions or cost-saving recommendations. • Ensure the assigned average number of unique audits or sampling events is met, as assigned by the Director of ICC-ES Inspections. • Discuss scheduling concerns with the manager if assigned scheduling does not meet department requirements. • Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special assignments as directed by the Director of ICC-ES Inspections. • Continually identify and pursue opportunities for process improvement and promote continuous improvement within the department. • Promote effective communication throughout the organization and recommend actions that enhance communication among employees. • Contribute ongoing insights and ideas for resolving repetitive field issues by maintaining consistent communication with department managers. • Recommend improvements to systems, policies, and procedures for the Inspections Department.

• Manage and execute electrical product certification projects from application through certification recommendation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17065 and ICC-ES procedures • Review product construction, schematics, technical documentation, and test reports for compliance with applicable CSA, UL, IEC, and related standards • Define project scope, applicable standards, testing requirements, and certification pathways • Coordinate testing activities with ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratories and monitor project progress • Prepare technical evaluation summaries and support Certification Decision Maker(s) (CDMs) with complete, defensible files • Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of technical issues • Design, implement, and continuously improve certification workflows from application intake through certification issuance and surveillance • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), evaluation templates, checklists, and process documentation in alignment with ISO/IEC 17065 and SCC requirements • Establish and monitor operational KPIs (cycle time, backlog, utilization, quality of reports, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction) and drive continuous improvement • Oversee workload planning, resource allocation, and prioritization of certification activities • Support recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and performance development of certification engineers as the team expands • Ensure certification activities meet all traceability, impartiality, and documentation requirements under ISO/IEC 17065 and the ICC-ES Quality Management System • Support internal audits, management reviews, and external accreditation assessments • Performs other related duties as assigned
