• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues spanning application, database, and infrastructure layers. • Diagnose and resolve software and SQL performance problems escalated by support teams. • Optimize SQL Server performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis. • Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to maintain platform reliability standards. • Drive platform improvements focused on scalability, reliability, and operational health. • Build and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and observability frameworks to reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR). • Monitor system performance and proactively identify risk areas using SolarWinds DPA, Splunk, and New Relic. • Champion automation of toil reduction, capacity planning, and self-healing infrastructure patterns using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines. • Manage and optimize containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes in Azure cloud environments. • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly to executive stakeholders.

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across our cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms • Establish and enforce Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC, Network Policies, and secrets management • Perform security assessments and hardening of Kubernetes environments • Implement and maintain secure GitOps workflows using Helm and ArgoCD • Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines • Deploy, manage, and optimize security monitoring and threat detection solutions • Manage container and infrastructure vulnerability scanning using Trivy • Deploy, configure, and maintain Wazuh for security monitoring, log analysis, and compliance reporting • Conduct application security assessments aligned with OWASP Top 10 recommendations • Support security audits, compliance initiatives, and risk assessments

• Design, build, automate, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native platforms. • Work closely with Development, Platform Engineering, Security, and DevOps teams to ensure reliability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence across production environments. • Administer and optimize Kubernetes networking using: Cilium, Istio, Service Mesh, Kubernetes Ingress Controllers. • Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes infrastructure and application issues. • Manage services on Google Cloud Platform including GKE, VPC Networking, IAM, Cloud Load Balancers, Cloud Storage, Monitoring and Logging services.

• Engage in fast-paced agile application development teams in terms of organizing, managing and executing your work with minimal supervision. • Participate with the team and stakeholders on requirements understanding, design and solutions in line with the product architecture. • Build and maintain high performing, high quality code base with end-to-end responsibility from development to technical QA (unit tests) by applying technology and best practices. • Provide necessary technical documentation to enable visibility and maintainability of designs and code. • Play an integral role in acquiring and learning technology trends, expertise, and best practices to keep the team’s collective knowledge up to date.

• Contribute fixes and enhancements to the Apache Spark open-source project. • Upgrade and maintain compatibility with newer Spark releases. • Optimize Spark internals for performance, scalability, and reliability. • Design and develop distributed data processing solutions. • Debug complex Spark-related performance and stability issues. • Collaborate with product and platform teams on architecture and technical initiatives.

• Perform manual and automated testing of Spark jobs, Spark SQL queries, and ETL pipelines. • Execute functional, scalability, and performance testing for Spark workloads. • Set up and manage Spark clusters on Standalone, YARN, Kubernetes, Mesos, Databricks, EMR, and Dataproc. • Conduct benchmarking, validation, and performance analysis of Spark applications. • Identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot distributed system issues. • Lead QA initiatives and mentor team members.

• Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using industry-standard tools and frameworks. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability. • Champion and implement best practices for CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release management. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build, deployment, and configuration in collaboration with development and operations teams. • Monitor, analyze, and improve system reliability, availability, and performance. • Participate in incident response, post-mortems, and root cause analysis to prevent future incidents. • Implement proactive measures to identify and address potential reliability and performance bottlenecks. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, and quality assurance, to understand requirements and deliver solutions. • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management on project progress and challenges.
